~ Final curtain act of weeping roses

~ Final curtain act of weeping roses

A Poem by Frieda P
"

_inspired by Rene's poem, Reduce everything to Ashes

"
Etched your name
in the dust of my heart's ache,
wildflower's soul strewn
       haphazardly askew
love note tucked neatly
          written in braille tidings,
of ghostly passage's rhyme
obliging a long forgotten prayer
of yesteryear and far away,
          in your eye's pious obligations
a blue moon's
dispirited bloom,
awakened in the shadows
             of diminished  capacity's vapors,
surrendered under the pressure
                 of afterthought's tragic loss
weeping roses
             can't breathe life's blood,
too late for encore's last call
                      in the final curtain act

I liked the tone of this --- Frieda...yet I had a difficult time reading with the font...I made it through and just adjusted the magnification a bit...I do see the the end caption puts this into over drive:

weeping roses
can't breathe life's blood,
too late for encore's last call
in the final curtain act

well-versed...again I only had to squint a bit to finish...and I already have four eyes...LOL...good day...and happy writing...

This is, one of your sadder poems, Frieda. From the first line, to the last one, am carried on the river of tears, which you so elegantly. One can only hope, to ease this suffering, knowing it can never be, totally heal, over time.

This one made me think of that Vampire show on HBO. True blood. I've never actually watched that show all the way through but it seems like it's been on in the background the last two years. No doubt the weeping bleeding roses line did it.

An interesting and moving poem, but I have to agree with the other reviews regarding the font and size, I can barely read it on my laptop and expect people trying to read it on their phone are not able to at all. Otherwise, well done.

Very enriched Frieda:) I love all to do with a rose but this was very profound:)

I enjoyed this poem but the tiny weird font bothered my old eyes. Had increase my screen size to 125%.
That said I liked the content and the idea.

"obliging a long forgotten prayer
of yesteryear and far away,
in your eye's pious obligations"
When those who profess "faith" and "trust" in a higher being blatantly defy the true meaning of scripture by interpreting it to fit their own agenda, being some of the most evil, malevolent people on the planet, or when divine intervention never comes, I choose never to walk their paths for all the damage they do. Will they be blessed for turning others from their God? I dont think so. Your poem was heartbreaking, full of loss, and the image of a bleeding rose so very powerful. Those lines "weeping roses cant breathe life's blood" is stunningly brilliant. As is this poem.
