~strangled crinose poppies

~strangled crinose poppies

A Poem by Frieda P

Tasted the bitter ashes
         in my soul's negligence,
remiss in compensation's
           injurious affectation's of calm
failure to exorcise demonic actions
          in protective prose's intent,
predilection's contemptuous roar
               in pseudo-intent's  grievous denials,
hung in a webbed salvation
           of appointed dispensation,
slaughtered  in a scarlet noose
               of strangled crinose poppies

I've read that sorrow never grabs you, if it did you'd never be able to let go of it..unless sorrow decides to let go of you :)
The poem is lovely and very deep..more like reading about failure to hide failure from self which results in regrets and loathing...if...if I understood it correctly :p But then again I think this is too high level poetry for me to understand without sitting and making notes :D hehe

I don't know where you read that, but it's a bunch of malarkey. ;) Thanks so much Sunya.

Ha you're watching too much b**b tube!
Darkened days as the world feels empty, It seems that it hurts to hate anything, so many words left unspoken and I guess you would be the first to say that you are not a slave of anyone but it still seems to make you wonder. The feeling here bleak. not worth continuing with that reflection as it got heavy and I tend to agree with KL this sound is hard and maybe the best that one can do is observe and behold.

Beautifully dark

Thankyou

Thanks so much Rene.
Darkness is here again, such a hard piece to read and I imagine to write.
Those memories and feelings can be buried deep but they will keep coming back.
Very emotional piece Frieda, heartbreaking.

Some things cannot be exorcised. They can be shoved, talked about, dealt with, put away, locked up, and managed, but not completely obliterated. And faking it is sometimes the best we can do to make it through.

This is saddening and heavy dear heart, gentle hugs...your words and metaphor drip with melancholy but beautifully rendered by a beautiful heart xo

Grazie mille for your kind words beautiful Poppy. xo
Very rich but seemingly somber item here. Love it. Speaks to me of inner reflection and blaming yourself for mistakes/actions.

Whether I'm right or wrong in that respect it's still a solid piece and wonderfully written.

Thanks so much Bill, like your interpretation muchly.
My Lady we are all in pain and guarded and thus we often make rash decisions. This is blatant, brutal, sensitive and beautiful poetry.
