No 'bad review' here Mrs.R, I'd be giggling like a schoolgirl if I were not sitting in my mother's living room...you know I absolutely adore this...I wish I had a quote to counter with but I'm still languishing in what you've offered here...the kind of cool, what more can one say? ;)

Woo now you're tawkin! Doing the happy dance. :) Cheers!
This sounds like a "mini mutter" . . . just the weird stuff we say to ourselves, in writing. Yes, I so agree with your summation. Now I feel like writing my own version of this "Ode to Survival"! *smile*
Greatness cannot come through any other name, than Frieda Pickle! We love her! She's cool, sexy, and fabulous. She waxes poetic, and she graces us with her gifts here at WC. I am so tickled to spend an evening, just sitting here all by myself with no one but my computer and her beautiful simple thoughts and cool, bluesy jazz. Thank you, Frieda P!
I like how there's more back story to this poem. Questions can arise from reading this; How old are your kids? What kind of poetry do you like? What has happened in your life to make you write such stories?
You leave it simple and short, and you put voice into it. Not spectacular for publishing, but you're only writing it as prose. Very nice poem to show your personality.
after those many years your success will be seen in those kids that are now grown ups and the way they treat life..
that was a great thing to mention, well done
After many years of this tumult called Life, we all have our mind candy that makes it go just a bit sweeter... This is a strangely uplifting piece, Frieda. :)
If you want to know me, read my poetry, it's all in there. I am a mother of three sons (my finest moments) a sister, a survivor and a little bit crazy. I lost my beloved sister to suicide, so you'll.. more..
