...and you whispered

...and you whispered

A Poem by Frieda P
"

'speak to me of love'

"

...and you whispered, 'speak to me of love',
the spaces 'tween the soft rain on a summer's day
tangerine skies that glisten over a moonlit bay
a quiver of heartstrings, the arrow that swiftly flies
sharing the wind within a spring's hushed lullaby
dance's rhythm as one in giving unselfishly
yet, movement as separate breath's unto each other
the gentle bend of olive branches, roots of a majestic oak,
heart's inner peace planted in lush gardens of fruitful faith
courage to fear the nakedness of vulnerability's passion,
weaknesses endearing strength in the eye of storms,
acceptance that affection has one purpose but to be fulfilled
small gestures, melting melodies of praise,
a prayer of endearment's trust in the enthralling pain
of being touched by overwhelming tenderness,
to dream a dream upon another soul's desire of willfulness
in the gift that can not be denied for a lifetime

"Love one another, but make not a bond of love:
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls."

what a sweet, romantic, dreamy write.. has me sighing, thinking.. I want that... such gorgeous lines in this.. dances well with the beautiful music.. I am going to call you the queen of flow, because your flow is always so exquisite and enchanting within your pieces... we all want that person that is going to be the eye in our storm, calming us when things get stormy, someone that gives us "butterflies" when we see them, think of them, or are near them... someone gives us courage, comfort, accepting us for who we are and understanding what makes us "tick"... someone that shows such tenderness and love... that knows that it is in the "little things" that are so endearing and meaningful..

Never heard this song before, but the longer I listen to it, the more I really like it...

another amazing write ma'am... this one has the hopeless romantic in me sighing with bliss.. shame on you for touching the mushy side and stimulating her to speak... jeeez.... makes me want to go write something sweet and tender.. grrr @ you!!

A beautiful poem of love after the recent storm of lust and debauchery, well done Frieda, you have many strings to your bow, in fact more strings than a hundred bows.

I am not sure if it is a common experience but when I think about ideals I tend to look up to the skies more a reflex than anything I could soundly explain. Frieda decided to to reach up (so to speak) and pull down the elementals of harmony, them creatures which hover over musical inspiration to create a "well - behaved " piece. As the writing unfolds it is a serene journey of acceptance, of discovery and of being discovered. The part that made me stop and completely got me was that which suggests small gestures. I think we have been led to belive in this age of digital and mechanical solutions that we may be able to find the cure for many things with dramatic changes. Frieda instead invites to an opening to the imperceptible.

Enchanting.

Thankyou

terrific write...like two dreams making love...there is such comfort in this write....but you do that so easily...and you blend in such alliteration...

giving each other strength in the eye of the storm.

"To love,to share,to death us do part"- jeezz!! I haven't vowed that to anyone. But yea Freida the sharing of souls as you mentioned depends on "fruitful faith"... "nakedness of vulnerabilities passion"- i loved this line, because i hate being vulnerable,i have closed up myself. This line touched me deeply. "The acceptance- is greatest of all things.. " we should accept 'em with all their flaws. The tender ending of your poem filled me with loving emotions.. your best i have read.. :)

The only way I know how to begin here is by making it clear that I'm in tears...I don't know, this one just went right to my heart love...I was trying to keep track of favourite lines as I made my way through but by the time I got to 'courage to fear the nakedness of vulnerability's passion' I gave up...this is one of the best love poem you've ever written...it's a masterpiece...

a quiver of heartstrings, the arrow that swiftly flies...I know where that arrow went Mr.R...it may take all night to get it out of my chest...I admire many writers, and yet none of them inspire me to write in the way you have here...you have dialed into the essence of a wonderful writer, and you've produced something that transcends that writer...you're amazing...sigh...I'm speechless...I want to get lost in this poem and never emerge...do you realize how good this poem is? It's beautiful...and none of this has to do with the fact that I know you...you have touched me with this piece...this is the most gorgeous thing I've read in a long time, and I know it didn't take you long to write...you're just that good...you were born to do this...xo
