~two ships dancing in the night

~two ships dancing in the night

A Poem by Frieda P

If you could take the bitter

                out of the bite

surrender to the light side

          of a moonbeam's haven,

pause in a lingering moment's time

as refractive stardust

         reflects off  distant shores,

        gasping in realization's whimsy of

           wafting scents on an ocean's

                        beckoning glints of radiance,

inhaling a breath of sweet ecstasy’s

                 enchanted plight

wrapped in two bodies

                    melancholic melding flight,

exhaled in wind sparked

         tempestuous notions,

                    that reckless sinking ships

                                       meet in the darkest hours

Easier said than done, me thinks. The first and last line makes this poem for me. I adore the music, very sexy and sensual. Oh la la..... xoxo

Reckless ships, meeting in the dark - just what each needs to keep afloat. I love the opening lines in this, Frieda.

Hey, I reviewed this and my review seems to have disappeared? How odd. Another glitch in the cafe' big surprise. I actually read it the minute it was off the press, finding each other in desperate times, and clinging, like a life raft, to that person, yes, I understand this, very well.

Very good music and amazing poetry.
"If you could take the bitter
out of the bite
surrender to the light side
of a moonbeam's haven,"
The above lines I liked a lot. No weakness in the excellent poetry.

what fun it is to be a reckless ship... mmmmhmmm... especially with this sexy tune... wheeew.. some of those lines.. ohhhh yes ma'am.... sometimes the "lighter side" can burn just as bright.... what I wanna know is the "tempestuous notions".... sensual and spicy without the bitter... sounds like my kind of rocking the boat... motion of that ocean baby... ok... enough said.. lol

love it, by the way...

O yea- reckless sinking ships meet in darkest hours.. the whole poem soothed me Freida.Cut out the bite of the bitter so thet focus only on the optimistic point of the matter. How RESTLESS you may be there is always a ship with you who will sink in darkness with you.Giving you the torch in dark. I lack that person but i do have poetry with me dancing in the darkness of my life ;) Touchè...!!!

You could almost begin and end with those two first lines, it all hinges on that, spitting the bitter taste out. Cleanse your palate for the sweetness that follows.

Sounds simple doesn't it? It rarely is. Thanks so much Ana Sophia....

True... Rarely is. :-/
This my Lady has such a bitter sweet taste to it. It is a as if you scold yet provide a gentling to your protagonist?

It's all good, as long as nobody gets seasick. :)
