_this is not goodbye, love you to the moon and back, miss you more than life itself ♥♥
You can't flutter by,
and not affect everyone
you've so graciously touched,
heart of gold wrapped
in ethereal veiled wings of strength
we gazed upon your emboldenedflight
right from the beginning of time
blustering storms now overshadowed,
cast in your onward flight
yet, so bittersweet you've risen
above the ashen earth's rebound
destined for skies of brilliance
free from ambivalence's rhyme
awash in your splendor ofglory
overcoming in your wayward graces,
what may be is still a mystery
to all of those who believe,
tomorrow's whispering promises linger
on a zephyr quietly awaiting ~
~you can't flutterby and not affect everyone you've touched~
“It has been said, 'time heals all wounds.' I do not agree. The wounds remain. In time, the mind, protecting its sanity, covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessens. But it is never gone.” ― Rose Kennedy
Oh Frieda, of all of your poetry, you have written for, or about your sister, this one is very special, in the way, you have written the perfect eulogy for her. I hope, when my time comes, I have someone like you, to tell the world, who I was, as a person, a friend and a sister, to them. Thank you, for sharing this poem, with us.

this is a beautiful song to the heavens above, I get the freedom of flight from this heavy earth and the lift into glorious realms existing somewhere beyond our sight, that is what I see I guess.
I enjoyed how you connected butterflies themselves to the scientific phenomenon of the Butterfly Effect. I was inspire by your poem to write this tiny gift poem for you:
Serendipity
Try to miss that fatal step
into danger passing by
moving with demonic pep.
Stop, and watch a butterfly.

Thanks Aethereal, this was for my sister, I hope there's nothing demonic in her flight.

My latest posting is a poem for my sister, Rita, entitled "In the Middle". It focuses on the melancholy of loss, even after these long years later.
Your poem is magical, Frieda. It envelops the reader with a profound sense that the end is never "goodbye." And that song - I believe I have 3 CD's of Melissa's...what an incredible voice! It married so well with your words, and left me in tears.
I miss my sister more and more each day. The quote you enclosed by Rose Kennedy articulates exactly how I feel...I've never read it before, so I thank you for that!
Must we go on, and make them proud? Yes, most definetly!
Love,
Kelly

I read it and it touched me to the core, thanks so much Kelly, much love my sweet friend.
Ah my God, I am in complete and utter tears, I know how you feel Frieda and I know that it is a hard day for you and I would do anything in this world to take the pain away and bring her back - Just remember, Lee is your Angel, she is looking down on you, guiding you and protecting you. She is with you in your heart filling you with her love. You are both gorgeous souls, I will never ever find someone more amazing than you. You're in my thoughts & my prayers this weekend, more than ever. You keep Lee's memory and spirit alive through your words, she will be remember by everyone, even if they haven't met her.
I am sending all my love, hugs and kisses to you. Keep your chin up, Mama F.
100 hugs & sighs xoxoxo

Thanks for your continued support and love always sweet Sye. xo
Ohh...its so beautifully written.....each note touches the heart.....its so difficult to move without those whom you love the most ,every remembrance wrenches your heart.....time gives you never ending pain.....lets pray for all those beloved ones to be in peace and lets remember and make them feel, we love them a lot and they will always reside in our heart....no words for this one....
Beautiful, warm, and moving. My heart goes out to you in this moment Frieda. You can never say good-bye, not to a loved one, perhaps just good-bye for now, until we meet again? Time... It changes nothing. It is still there forever. But we learn to accept, heal and move on, living. xxoo

Thanks so much Ana Sophia, muchly appreciate the sentiment. xo
I was waiting for this poem. Thank you for sending it. It is beautiful, as I knew it would be. And the quote and song are perfect for it. I don't really have anything else to give you but tears and hugs. We sit in similar locations, in terms of memories and thoughts these days.

I know, and my heart breaks for you too my friend, thanks so much. x
Kennedy was right...time most certainly does not heal all wounds, I know that...when we endure these losses, the pain is here to stay, as harsh a reality as that is...but you're right too Frieda, there is no such thing as goodbye as long as she and the positive memories you shared remain in your heart...she WILL reside in those skies of brilliance , free from ambivalence's rhyme...sigh, I never quite know how to review these pieces knowing the degree of pain you're in...it's hard to approach this poem like I do most other ones...but you know how I feel about these pieces, and you've always saved your best for her, which is saying something coming a poet as brilliant as yourself...I feel every ounce of your emotion in the amazing imagery you produce, and it goes straight to my heart, and my eyes...but never forget that you're not alone, literally or figuratively...I'm here for you, as are your other friends...you know who they are, and they know who you are...my heart will be with you this weekend, even more than it is the rest of the time...love you my friend...xoxo

Kicked to the dust (not necessarily a bad thing) by the one your speaker speaks of within their thoughts, where they believe that the one who had ascended to places no longer within their reach no longer believes themself an effect on the people within their past. But alas, such a thing isn't true and the profound effects of being left behind while the other sped on by are still felt by your speaker, and you've conveyed that emotion well. I enjoyed this one, well done.
They say if you mix fractals plus feedback and you create turbulence it will lead to unpredictability the constant stream of that impulse can have a greater or a devastating effect in a place of origins unknown as this deadly mix is known as the chaos theory. And as I read this writing I am invited to embrace the unexpected, it moves me to embrace that every pain, every scar , every attempt to grow no matter how difficult it might be of help if not on its own to some other place where that concious work may have a receptacle and that person unexpectedly might benefit from it.
I certainly wasn't expecting to read this today.
Thankyou Frieda
