An ancient cowboy tune (go figure?) came to mind, by Charley Pride, "Crystal Chandeliers"
Oh, the crystal chandeliers light up the paintings on your walls
The marble statuettes are standing stately in the hall
But will the timely crowd that has you laughing loud
Help you dry your tears
When the new wears off of your crystal chandeliers?

I guess I would have to answer that myself with No but the light socket does....

Charles was and is one of my favorites. I remember playing his 8 tracks over and over and over.
Thanks Cowboy for reminding me of him and good to see ya too Freida. I'll probably be back stronger in the late fall. I'm reconditioning my life and surroundings and enjoying the upgrade immensely. Today while i weed around the house I will probably be singing all of Charlies tunes again. What a wonderful day this will be :-) Hope you all keep a song in your hearts too.
Who the heck would think they were for lighting? I mean, that's bonkers, it's not like you switch them on and LIGHT up the place, nah, that would be craycray!! ;-) This cracked me up. Off to play on my chandelier.
Yes Frieda, much of what we create is purely for frivolous pleasure and artistic expression.
I just watched the video in total. WOW! I loved the dance expressing this song I have already come to enjoy so much. We are all a little crazy... why not dance to the music?
Very powerful choreography.
lol that's so cute...I actually wrote a poem called "Dripping from the Chandelier" and I thought this might be similar. It also brought me a memory from one of my sister's who died last year. She had made a makeshift swing in a tree and she realized as she was swinging suddenly she was going really high...the next thing she new she was on the ground and her butt was stinging...turned out that "high" she was on was the swing coming lose from the branch and she was airborne :).
I see the light and so many peoples enjoyment within the illumination surrounding, but yet… no one looks up to see the beauty from whence it came... but then… that's just me... (I'm drinking ;)

Never! ;) Just a different interpretation, I thought you would like ;)
I had one in my old place that hung too low, so I was always hitting my head on it... I ended up buying a table, JUST to stick under it to prevent me from banging into it... So yeah, if it wasn't coming from you, I would assume you were talking about smacking your head into them... but here you are swinging? Why do you get all the fun?

If you want to know me, read my poetry, it's all in there. I am a mother of three sons (my finest moments) a sister, a survivor and a little bit crazy. I lost my beloved sister to suicide, so you'll.. more..
