abstract overlay of a bleeding heart

abstract overlay of a bleeding heart

A Poem by Frieda P
"

~~

"
Lost forever in the paradox
      of your affection's blush
painted within soft brush strokes
             of passion's escape,
searching for the intimacy in
               perception's palette
Mona Lisa's smile paled
      within the rush of your
           monochromatic illusionism
left to unfurl in unframed passages
                  of rhymed masters,
watercolor craving's bled
onto the canvas of our desire
fractured in your composed
                     coloring's matted absence
 allegory of Alla Prima's  shadowed
 cuore,
               chiaroscuro in its appeal

 image likeness of urges's infatuation,
                    in scarlet's tearful hue
obscured within abstract
overlay's
                       of a bleeding heart's portrait

                                                                                                                            artist ~ Kristen Romney Hubbs

you and your poetry are amazing Frieda, "monochromatic illusionism", yes absence and death are moncolored.. it is paradoxal and yet I can't help but see a multitude of words colored with the palette found within a bleeding heart (there are many colors found here). Aren't we always looking "for the intimacy in
perception's palette", to make sense of the abstractions??? I have for some reason believed that after Mona Lisa got up from her portrait smiled a great deal... It was Rembrandt that made her so serious...

I like your choice of Chicago's "Color My World", it's soft overlays give depth to the words you express

1000 water colors bleeding and abstract expressions... there is nothing monochromatic about your poetry Frieda... and I love to read each word... MWAHxxoo!!!

The art of love is hard to paint, but when you find the right colors there is nothing you can't create… a really beautiful poem Moonbeam.

You are most welcome Moonbeam.
As always my Lady you portray loss with deep hues of metaphorical colour, splashes of raw emotion applied liberally to the canvas.

Such a poetic review, thanks dahlin'
There are those who come into our lives and leave, but don't leave our memories and our thoughts -- and the pain that they caused is raw and unrelenting, and real and present, after a long time. This poem beautifully expresses this.

Yes it lingers on so we can write poetry about it, thanks KL...
well now isn't this a layered tale of heartache, pain, lust, longing, and aching.. ouch.... I feel the pain, the longing, the feelings of inadequacies.. of being so lost without, of feeling like something missing, something so important that you are not the same in its absence... the needs of the other always wanting what you couldn't give, something that you aren't.. but the colors that they brought to your world made it feel for some short time brilliant and beautiful.. oh how those brush strokes caress you in such ways that your canvas comes alive.. the blush staining it to where it glows.. but the chill from the air as the paint chips and hardens the absence of those strokes makes it that much more bittersweet, for the memories linger and you long for the days of living.. another.. awesome.. write.. ma'am.. jeez.. emotional rollercoaster you love to take me on day to day.. grrrrr ((hugs))

oh and did I say how much I loved word choice in this one.. divine...

It hurt Freida... really hurt.. :(.. the portrait of bleeding heart. The one betrayed by a judas's kiss, cheated bys condescending smile which shames monalisa.,cravings of water colour washed over by reality.. the heart cries blood.o yes blood. The millions of pieces scattered hard to mend.who will redraw that portrait( just my thought).. your poem touched my heart, ached it to piece and eyes burning with unshed tears.. just wow freida.Every metaphor has an underlying meaning to be uncovered.. :) touchy ikira

The first two lines pulled me in and would not let go. This was beautiful, though it felt a little sad. You write in such a unique and appealing fashion Frieda P. I really enjoyed this one today.

I'm so jazz'd they did, thanks muchly Will.
I would say this is the very definition of art Mrs.R...the words paint, the colours hold metaphors, languages gel and become universal...and you just happen to possess one of the most romantic languages, which sure as hell isn't English haha Watercolor is a child's art form, that is, until you overtake it, then it blossoms into a spectrum of sensuality...'searching for intimacy in perception's palette'...wow, that's just perfect...that line alone brought a smile to my face...clearly you have an understanding of visual art that eludes me...even though I carry an abstract tag, you'd never see a poem from me with Mona Lisa, monochromatic illusionism, or a matted absence...if I wake up and see something new from you, you know it's the first thing I read, though it often takes me all morning to discern the depth you bring to every piece...you're a poet, you're an artist, you're Mrs.R, and she's amazing ;) xo
