Butterfly haunts me flutters in the darkest of night when the smoke dismally cleared all that was left was a still photograph no breath to be had, no words to be spoken perched upon my affection where no one can see, all the secrets that taunt my scarred soul
our story's final chapter closed too soon
Left behind in your spirit reminisces like an erratic zephyr, they twist my mind nothing sacred in how you fled the atmosphere I oft wonder have you found destiny's redemption as you floated aimlessly from this earth etching markings on a sky of colorless clues
surrendering only in my dream's illusions still tracing the dusky painted haze
It's the pain that flows through the vein of your poetry, which I find the most endearing...
"I oft wonder have you found destiny's redemption
as you floated aimlessly from this earth
etching markings on a sky of colorless clues
surrendering only in my dream's illusions
still tracing the dusky painted haze
all that's left is to exhale poetry "~ This moved me to the very core...
Stunning....~xoxo~

I really like the title and how it ties into the last line. It's like when you're staring off into the abyss, thinking about how things were or could've been, and then you let out a long sigh, before moving on.

Frieda, this is the best thing you've ever done...ever...this should be in my library if not for this ignoramus site, but you know it's in my heart...my eyes grow damp just being exposed to this piece before reading it...I wish I could write about my departed ones like this...you have no idea how much I look up to you for creating such a masterpiece...and it is your master work, I can't stress that enough, and that's for a woman who is only capable of writing masterpieces...tight hugs my dear friend...xoxo

Oh blowing through the mistery of time is one of the Anemoi taking things in the westernly direction . And hoping or beholding the thought that the memory of someone or something should pass too but if only to be that simple then we would all attempt it. Yet they linger why? Because there is something that needs to come to resolution again if only manuals where to be passed with this kind of experiences then we will all want the blueprints.
Sadly is not and we have to dwell
This is very beatifully expressed
Thankyou

They linger because they are a part of our heart, and that never ceases even in spirit, thanks Rene.
Yes indeed, to echo sentiments proposed by my reviewing predecessors this is a delightfully haunting and moving poem that made me come out in goose bumps my friend.... N

Grazie mille Neville, muchly appreciate the sweet sentiment.
Regret, remorse and guilt often deeply affects our psyche, why did a close loved one leave and not me instead?
While none of us mere mortals can adequately answer such profoundly life affecting questions, suffice to say, we all are travelling along the same journey and one day will be reunited with our loved ones, but until that glorious time arrives, let's make the best of our time down here and by writing such beautiful poetry Frieda, you are certainly filling the world here and beyond with joy, respect and harmony!
A touching, heartfelt, reflective, poetic reverie, sublime as always dear Frieda !

So moving and so desperately sad. I realise the anniversary is such a hard time for you but when you write (evhale) such wonderful poetry you give the world Lee's breaths to taste.

So kind of you to say John, only way I know to keep her spirit alive, thanks so much.
If you want to know me, read my poetry, it's all in there. I am a mother of three sons (my finest moments) a sister, a survivor and a little bit crazy. I lost my beloved sister to suicide, so you'll.. more..
