Poppycock !!

Poppycock !!

A Poem by Frieda P
"

This one's for Poppy, she speaks a different language ;) She's a good egg, the same in either language I'd say....just for shytes and giggles

"
Throw my dolly out the pram
why thank you ma'am,
   think I'll do it justice...
your flat is in my apartment
   anti-clockwise, ftw is that?
A barrister, never heard of 'em
    & biscuits, you're quite mistaken
          that's a COOKIE I've just eaten....
A bonnet is for babies
or I'll eat my hat in mere seconds
car park, boot and chemist's shop
  still speaking a foreign language,
chips are fries my darling
    and crisps are chips
If you flyover a high street
   I'll be bloody amazed
    what's that road been smokin'
try an overpass on main street
      that'll test your British arse
Can you fit a lorry on a lift
or a semi in an elevator
         either way I think not,
your maize of words
is my corn of the crop
nappy is when you sleep
you don't put it on your bum
pet hate, sounds like you hate your poor pup
try a pet peeve to retrieve an annoying bloke  ...
so when you post a reply,
or mail as we all call it in the states,
don't forget to send it to the pub
we all know that one's a bar
fookin' hell it's all A-okay
Cheers, smile   (I think that's the same )
....It's all bobinz, thanks for the larfs,
Enjoy your Frieday !!

LOL … don't worry Frieda … I speak Canadian and was married to a Kiwi who lived in London for several years … I'll translate.

hun is spelled with an o
it's honey, not hun
it's lover, not luv'va
mum with an o
It's mother, not Muv'va

I'm not familiar with Poppy but she seems a good sport about it, chuckling to myself about the nappy, don't we all need a good long one! kinda curious how you added this to your own library, funny video too, love the accents.

Okay Mrs.R, this is just as impressive, if not more impressive, than what I just wrote...meshing song titles in a cheeky way is one thing, meshing languages in a cheeky way is a whole other animal, a much bigger one with bigger teeth ;) You know how much I love British pop culture, but I could never do something like this...wow, you're amazing :) xo

Ok you stop taking the 'Michael' out of us Brits! You put your shopping in an elephants nose when you go to the store, presumably where you keep your nuts my Lady. Humerous never-the-less. Cudos!

Just a word my Lady?
Let's face it, we don't speak English, we speak American...and they are VERY different languages! Our cars in the USA have no bonnets and we certainly do not wear bum freezers when the weather is cold. This poem made me smile from start to finish.....unique and fun! Lydi**

I have known Poppy for a couple years, she is not only one of the most talented writers but one of the sweetest souls, I was honored to get to do a couple collars with her.

This is an unique and fun tribute to Poppy.

I wholeheartedly agree on both counts Dale, and she has a warped sense of humor like us too. ;)
