Black magic extraordinaire...

Black magic extraordinaire...

A Poem by Frieda P
"

COLLABORATION KUBLAKHAN & FRIEDA

"
we converse helter skelter
in your soft killer approach,
teetering on wooden innuendo's third wheel
white satin nights turned black magic dust
fever is distracting and unchained
like rainfall on the frying pan sand
foundations of celluloid Shangri-la
superseded over hills and far away
where your romance ransacks education
in a heist of Merlin's stash of love potion
old man shooed from monotone incantations
shipped to a jenga tower of tobacco song
something in my moves attracted nothing
in the smoke ring of your seduction vacuum

now the trouble with nothing is something
convoluted metaphors of destiny
paralyzed in your concocted rhyme
enchanted in sorcerer's scented sage
nestled in your judgement's serenade
rushing through heady spirited senses
quintessentially rendered of illusory inflection
modulating at time warp speed's redemption
difference apparent in reflection's fiction
processing a paradigm of connoisseur's legends
slipped from sleight of hand's stacked holy book
interpretations beat the clock at half past tock
while the ticker-tape parade ceases and concedes
pecking order to Rhiannon's sentencing caravan
brittle femurs burst into balloons of blisters
on the sizzle of the paved grave site
of paradise lost and lamented too late
felicity's hymn flutters in a warped reel
left to sweat rhythms in the red-eyed sun machine

take off your sinful scared skin exposing the scar
abandon mystery's magic tour of your throne
shadows take on a brilliant hue when liberated

Well, I can't always tell where one metaphor leaves off and another begins, but it is brilliant! I am in awe of such exquisite lines as:

'where your romance ransacks education
in a heist of Merlin's stash of love potion
old man shooed from monotone incantations
shipped to a Jenga tower of tobacco song.'

I see altogether in a single room of my mind, scattered blocks, broken beakers, and the Marlboro Man strumming a ditty in the corner. Amazing! Did you collaborate one line at a time? It flows seamlessly, however you managed it. Superlative worthy effort. Excellent work, both of you!

I will make a confession and as such it will impeded me from subjectivity from hereafter. I have a serious crush on Frieda's poetry and it is a good job that I can't physically be in the same room with her I would struggle not to attempt hitting on and pease let that resound with the greatest respect as married and also ugly it is not in my destiny. So when I say that I mean the way that the writing is crafted, I get seduced into it after two lines and its logic is so enchanting that I have to go back and forth trying to use my feeble thinking to come up wtith something that would appeace my enthusiasm. With lines likes these though "convoluted metaphors of destiny, paralyzed in your concocted rhyme" is it any wonder?
So when she finishes with "take off your sinful scared skin exposing the scar, abandon mystery's magic tour of your throne, shadows take on a brilliant hue when liberated."

I feel paralyzed and now all is left for me is for the frog to turn into a Prince and kiss me to get me unstuck. Prince? oh my the things I must endure....

Thankyou
