      In my whispered, reverie's fancy ~

you are not the poet, 

                you are the poem

I am not the dancer,

             I am the dance

coupled by composition,

       fused in movement

unfolding on fluffs of

        cerulean cloud bursts

unwritten symmetry

            upon luminous skies

melding together 

on a flush of midnight

impetuous lightning 

       hits chord's emotions

strutting in pipe dream's

seductive whirl

intertwining in fated 

               interlude's musicality

soothing melodies tuned 

in like key'd motions

 

unfurled in connect'd breath's 

destined notes

gliding upon horizons 

of a canvas'd stage

glancing  unto harmony's 

designed vistas 

flung in the stillness

 of universe's illusion

touched within a

stardust'd muse's evolution

Sorry that it took me so long to get to this one Mrs.R, you know how weekends are though...even now I'm trying to get it in before I eat and pack up to return home...love the graphic for starters, I'm glad you like it too ;) As is often the case, you had me with the title, sprinkling your muse in stardust...and the farther I moved through this piece, the more spellbound I became...your fusion of life and art is breathtaking...the entire poem is a breath of fresh air...I intend to come back to this when I get a quieter and solitary moment, but I just wanted to let you know that I read it, and I don't need solitude to know that this is a masterpiece, which is all you're capable of writing...this is one of my recent favourites...Je serai poete et toi poesie ;) xo

Haha I still know just enough French that I did not require Google in this case...needless to say I'm smiling again now that I've returned to this piece for another look, along with your response...there's that age-old question, does life imitate art, or vice-versa? It matters not in your world...in your world, they are one and the same...the world would be a more beautiful place if more of us adopted that philosophy...it is impossible for me to dissect this one for the purposes of citing favourite parts, but the third couplet seems like the cornerstone, the part that puts it all so beautifully into perspective...I don't really believe in the idea of a perfect poem, but when I read something like this I wonder if I'm having a change of heart...as mentioned above, this is a new favourite of mine, which is always saying something as you know ;) If only my damn library function worked...no matter, this one will be saved (and savoured) on my hard drive...you never cease to amaze me Mrs.R :) xo

By being a wuss I suppose ;P I'm the only one in my family that doesn't swim...I tried to learn several times but could never keep myself afloat, then my fragile nerves would kick in and that would be the end of the lesson...another reason I was the oddball of the family ;P x

Like the whirling skirts of another century's minuet, each word, phrase, and line is perfectly choreographed and orchestrated (I actually read this and left the music playing this time). You paint pictures that are so well imagined... I don't know how you manage it every time... Beautiful writing! Kudos to all your hard work...
