...that's her somber untold story

...that's her somber untold story

A Poem by Frieda P
"

~inspired by the music~

"
Rendered her body
    to make ends meet
    crying babies &
    hungry mouths to feed
ran away from home,
    a long time ago
daddy was a vulgar cruel man
        yesterdays were bitterly painful,
every day she feels burnt out
   distracts her mind with prayer
no one seems to be listening,
she's till lying on her back
trying to make a few bucks,
men demanding services
    liquor overflowing
       as they have their way
living crazy but that's her sad life,
every day when she opens her eyes
she wishes she could take
one last breath and say goodbye
as she glances into her insanity,
responsibility is her only tired excuse
gets up off her feet on demand
to lay on her back repeatedly,
her heartache and soul's desire
   put on destiny's back burner,
so it goes, over and over
   to her regret,
she surrendered to demons yet again,
this was her somber untold story...

'what would you do?'

Sombre indeed Freida...heart-wrenching...this is another blunt and unflinching piece, which you seem attracted to these days...this one really tore my heart out though, my hands are literally shaking as I try to type this...your writing is so intensely personal that these pieces in particular are affecting...I wish I had more to say...hopefully I'm just being my usual hyper-sensitive self, but if you are feeling like this poem suggests, you know you have my heart, and I'm always here...xo

You are so right. There are so many somber untold stories of injustice and suffering imposed on so many and they take place at the back burner of society. It is bitterly painful to see how some people are unfortunate and how people judge them harshly. An excellent write...:)........................

╰☆╮ooo, I love Bastille. And I love this poem. We often ignore the reasons why people do the things they do. ╰☆╮

Definitely Brittany, everyone has a reason behind what they do and why they do it...thanks so much.
I know people criticize those in the oldest profession, but I feel sorry for them cause so many times it is the only way they can survive in this cold heartless world. I like that you touched on a subject many would consider taboo.

Yes a very good pint Moonbeam.
This one gives me shivers Frieda.
It makes me (us) realize that we should be pretty darned grateful to have all we do, and that we need to show some sensitivity and good will.
This one is special. Nice job.

A sad and powerful story in the poem. Sometime we have little to give back. You create bad situation with little hope. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Another goosebump giver, Frieda, and a beautiful accompaniment to this wonderful song. There is always a story isn't there?
