Maître Peintre‏

Maître Peintre‏

A Poem by Frieda P
"

~Master painter...

"
Hpainted me of Chantilly lace
      and dark cherry liqueur,
  gently touch'd upon the curvature
                   of my breast
sable brush dipping every nuance,
wildflowers tucked  away at the nape of my neck
as silky zephyr's swept through my hair

I trembled in quivering anticipation
whilst he stroked with flair'd intensity,
my cheeks color'd
                        an Alla Prima rosy glow,
skin the shade of alabaster Romanticism
eyes like jeweled orbs of dark umber adoration

     piece de resistance,
                  alas my master painter
                     with bliss'd feathery fibers

         etched my muse's essence,
composed the heart
                in divine golden flax
            forever entwining the desirous
                            melodies of our soul

This is one of the most romantic tales you have penned. It is sultry and sensual with a depth of definition just like an oil painting. I have said before you write like a great master and you do. Your pigment is the colourful metaphor and the expressive word.

I am jazz'd :p i gave you food for thought. Its always a pleasure reviewing you lady..
Okay, very steamy, but in a classical sumptuous way, like diving into a down cover'd bed. BUT I happened to notice stroke'd - which, apostrologically speaking, should be stroked or strok'd n'est pas? Love ya! You would know I am slipping if I didn't point it out!

No problem Freida
"alabaster Romanticism"

you and your phrasing...knock me out!
the song of passion in "forever entwining the desirous melodies of our souls"

love on a metaphysical level...what an eruption of passion...

and that movie? oh yes....diane is my girl...my absolute favorite...ever since she emerged in "a little romance"---so real, so sexy...so natural in her beauty.

I'm speechless... again, Frieda! Your writing here is not only a slow sensuous treat, but an intellectual one as well (even I had to look up "alla prima"). That is the sexiest combination. Every line of this poem is painted with such deft strokes, I cannot pull just one out as a favorite. At the moment I am doing that kneeling/ bowing thing with my hands out front and my head bobbing. Excellent piece of writing!

oh my ... makes me float .. makes me feel dreamy .. absolutely beautiful .. i dont think i would use "whilst" nor words like it .. seems out of place to me ;) i love the Romance painters and composers which you have so skillfully included .. that era unshackled creativity and allowed such as you soar .. which you so in this wonderful poem .. wish it were me you were speaking of .. this is just one of your stunning lines but it erally puts me in a ...er ... mood .. ;)

Your poetry had been so good lately. This poem a journey painted with gentle thoughts. I like the slow pace of the poem leading the reader to good vision and warm places. There is no weakness in the amazing poetry.
