Maître Peintre‏

Maître Peintre‏

A Poem by Frieda P
"

~Master painter...

"
Hpainted me of Chantilly lace
      and dark cherry liqueur,
  gently touch'd upon the curvature
                   of my breast
sable brush dipping every nuance,
wildflowers tucked  away at the nape of my neck
as silky zephyr's swept through my hair

I trembled in quivering anticipation
whilst he stroked with flair'd intensity,
my cheeks color'd
                        an Alla Prima rosy glow,
skin the shade of alabaster Romanticism
eyes like jeweled orbs of dark umber adoration

     piece de resistance,
                  alas my master painter
                     with bliss'd feathery fibers

         etched my muse's essence,
composed the heart
                in divine golden flax
            forever entwining the desirous
                            melodies of our soul

This is one of the most romantic tales you have penned. It is sultry and sensual with a depth of definition just like an oil painting. I have said before you write like a great master and you do. Your pigment is the colourful metaphor and the expressive word.

Frieda, such a gentle touch, silky smoothe, this poem is one of your best I think. But the above lines, stood out to me and I got goose bumps thinking about the passion that went into the "master artists" "sable brush dipping every nuance," and the passion that went into writing these words and capturing the painting at the end of your poem.... damn straight I bookmarked in my favorites!!! Wonderful writing Frieda, wonderful.

Grazie mille Cassie...love when you pop in for a visit sunshine.
Oh brother I wasn't expecting this and it took me to sensual places. Time to get that windows open little bit. This to me so different and nearly impossible to even understand how it gets conceived but the painted scene here is romantic yes, but not just though is also highly sensual as if what's about to happen will not happen in half measures. "I trembled in quivering anticipation whilst he stroked with flair'd intensity" yeah I would get a little flustered too. And the scene goes on! Oh brother I am just not cut out for this level of intensity I guess I thought I was in a scene from Henry and June.

Sensuality galore

Thankyou Frieda

Nothing wrong with a little heat, thanks so much Rene...
Started as a splended portrait and later you show the magic of your words...turn it into one of your finest poetry. I was lost and the way you depicted the picture of woman...its a dream of every male writer to perform such a magic, through their words. Magum-opus!

Ha if only, you're a rascal Tate! Thanks so much....
The description of a painting is what I read in this beautiful poem
Then I got to the bottom and there it was.

Excellent interpretation and inspired poetry.

Thanks so much, you got it in ONE! Glad this one spoke to you Trace...
Only a woman can express such things so eloquently. Being a man we have limitation and we are deprived of so multi layered emotional beauty. We tend to do the simplification but women are pretty much at ease with its complexity and turn into beauty through their in depth vision.
