Maître Peintre‏

Maître Peintre‏

A Poem by Frieda P
"

~Master painter...

"
Hpainted me of Chantilly lace
      and dark cherry liqueur,
  gently touch'd upon the curvature
                   of my breast
sable brush dipping every nuance,
wildflowers tucked  away at the nape of my neck
as silky zephyr's swept through my hair

I trembled in quivering anticipation
whilst he stroked with flair'd intensity,
my cheeks color'd
                        an Alla Prima rosy glow,
skin the shade of alabaster Romanticism
eyes like jeweled orbs of dark umber adoration

     piece de resistance,
                  alas my master painter
                     with bliss'd feathery fibers

         etched my muse's essence,
composed the heart
                in divine golden flax
            forever entwining the desirous
                            melodies of our soul

This is one of the most romantic tales you have penned. It is sultry and sensual with a depth of definition just like an oil painting. I have said before you write like a great master and you do. Your pigment is the colourful metaphor and the expressive word.

Sigh.

Please stop
My beating heart
Which threatens to explode
With each word read
Of your passionate write.

Rekindling
What was once
Dormant
As the result
Of an act of cruelty
From a love one.

Giving hope
Maybe just maybe
She exist for me
Out there.

The gentleness of this piece really worked. Such beautiful imagery and tantalising emotion woven together give the new day a big smile.

Thanks so much Junert.
The clash of gentle and forceful is the engine that drives this piece Mrs.R...I feel like I've been given unlimited access to a nude painter's mind, who just happens to be painting a lover ;) Dark cherry liqueur sounds like the perfect warm-up to such an intimate activity, or activities should I say, for there's clearly more than painting going on here...actually maybe there's not even painting at all haha But the way you describe the ways of a painter with the strokes and sable brushes and so on, I'd swear this was written by a painter...as always, it's the intensity of emotion that gets me right in the gut, among other places in this case...I wish I knew how to paint, like this guy ;) A luscious evocation of the art that is the female body...awesome Mrs.R :) xo

Well thanks so much, what a sweet review Alfred.
Oh Frieda, such lovely bristles on my arms raise having each swipe of your brush so elegantly wisp.

This is my favorite of yours as yet. Each word nestles comfortably together as if they'd been waiting in the dictionary for you to align them all this time, and the font you chose so compliments the beautiful verses.

This is so very lovely.
