Darkly burnt parchment ~

Darkly burnt parchment ~

A Poem by Frieda P

"
darkly burnt parchment
as forlorn ashes float to abandoned ether
piercing the skies in mass hysteria's delusions
        simplicity scorched within your persuasion
brainwashed heart yearning's written on the walls
seduction's illusion was the grand scheme
blinded by the light of braille's cardboard words
spaces 'tween lies & sanctimonious allusion

Ahh, gotta love getting lost in sanctimonious allusion -- you have this way of cleansing emotions through the use clever vocabulary strung together, that taken separately, each part is innocuous, but taken as a whole oozes powerful feelings. Now, as to the sappy song ...:)

Blinded by the light of braille's cardboard words.
I agree.Betrayal is a b***h... and to be cheated on by your other half is a really pathetic feeling. The allegory of burnt parchment truly mirrors the burnt pieces of emotions. As always expertly woven words. ;) well done again Freida..

Love can certainly pull the wool over your eyes, I think that is why they say love is blind, well one reason… another poem written with golf flare and creative verses.
