A Poem by Frieda P
"

neath a shady bloom

"
lost wildflowers
        neath closed windows,
                       dither'd  bloom's shudder
               wilting in arrested fantasies
rhythm  of sun's betrayal
          faded in interruption's tune
   essence'd fragrance
              fallen beneath the cracks,
        no escaping rhymes's paradoxical roots
           sway'd under a moon's dark melody
maestro's scathing notes conduct'd
keys of C major's dusky tunes
                 F sharp's inauthentic glow
    sans relief from brutal digging
      mortification's dirty little secret
  buried deep within soil'd cover
              wither'd on the vine

This poem captures the music in words, which is no easy feat. I am glad you included the music along with your poem, it was great to see your thought process in an otherwise thoroughly sensual poem. The visualization was great; the almost giddy babble of eloquent words and phrases such as "rhythm of sun's betrayal". This line flows so well and ties in with the feeling of a flower waving and bending under the hot sun in a field.
I won't try to over-interpret it, because to figure out the poem's meaning to a T would be to destroy it, but even without meaning it is a beautiful read. Great poem, every word was almost tangible.

This poem is so sad. I can feel an empty pain and a longing as I read this. I really enjoyed this today.

Thanks Will, I"m thrilled you did.
Those arrested fantasies should be locked away in a jail without a key! A melancholy song filled with regrets and reflection. Heavy sigh! When you write sad poetry, it bleeds beauty, Frieda. Lydi**

You humble me, truly Lydi...thanks again.
It is bittersweet how such beauty can bloom in the darkest, gloomiest of places to go unappreciated- left to whither and die. Haunting, moving, captivating in its magical sadness and written beautifully. The music is a melodic enhancement to this amazing write. Great job ma'am!

Love the choice of your music accompanying your poems. I wonder how many men died with smile on their faces vying for your attention :)

Thanks Streamline.
Good music and poetry for thoughts.
"no escaping rhymes's paradoxical roots

I like the many strong statements in the poem. The above lines were my favorite. Type of poem the reader must break down and enjoy the thoughts and question brought to life by your words. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
