Gypsy soul surrender....

Gypsy soul surrender....

A Poem by Frieda P

traced your nuance upon my breast
     tenderness upon my lips,
serenaded me with your sweet guitar
   my restless gypsy soul surrendered,
breath heavy at the nape of my neck
as you whispered sonnets in my ear

a stirring breeze settled within my spirit,
        awakening me from misty slumber
my eyes already weepy missing you
       yet there remained,
a gentle hint of your musky scent
upon the curves of my décolletage

Jumping gypsy soul surrendering symphonics Frieda! Damn, you sure know how to stir the breeze with your poetry.

Ha, there is no better gypsy guitarist than Carlos Santana (saw him play at the Allentown, Pa Fair way back when, and Black Magic Woman and Abraxas live is like floating inside a hurricane). But the music you chose (George Harrison song) not only made your words cry with surrender, but wove the "missing you", "musky scent" into our hearts as well. Dreams like these, of love's, past or lost always leave their scent on the "curves of my (our) decolletage". The words, the song- guitar, cello, voice- move with the sadness of what was, even as you awaken. Still, they haunt us and often make us "weep" with "missing you" tears.

Thinking about gypsy soul, I remember with fondness that movie with Juliette Pinoch and Johnny Depp, "Chocolat"- talk about "whispering sonnets in my ear"... Frieda, your poetry is as tempting as Vianne's chocolate... even as your guitar gently weeps... WOW

Thanks muchly will, jazz'd you enjoyed.
When i was at school there was a girl i adored so much but it simply wasn't meant to be...her persona, her smile, the way she walked and talked...simply memorable. Now later in life I have found a woman that has all of these qualities plus many more. I could be the luckiest man alive:) My memories of a lost love have returned to me.

This was wonderful Frieda.

Troy

Awh that's sweet Troy, and yep....you're one lucky guy! Enjoy your weekend :)
Dang, my gran always told me to memorize a sonnet or two, she said French sounded a who lot better then Spanish "Up close" ( said she had "Researched it"), said she would give me a Mercedes Benz if I could show her I could take one apart and put it back together again."décolletage" there is one of those French words, if I said it , it would sound all wrong, and your response would be"
Ne touche pas!, But gran did not know, Casey, and he could rope, fly, ride, sing, and dance. When he was in France he said "Pard if you go,take your belt buckle, boots, cowboy hat,Dance those french girls go crazy for that"
