Poetic justice myths

Poetic justice myths

A Poem by Frieda P

dark blank pages, in my soul's view
written in reasoning's default
Greek tragedies off the ledge
calculating a mindless scream
whispered under dispensation's breath
climbing the allotted wall's ballot
of poetic justice's myths
indulgences of the spirit kind proselytized
dealing out awards for time shares
permission granted, courtesy of unrest
brass tacks on the deck of substance
matters not the actualization
real world spun on a dime
leaving no time for still life's induction
corruption in tradition's regulations
installation's selection institutionalized
confinement in loss of gray density

nothing lasts forever, so says the rain...

You are definitely back Mrs.R...your poems are always the toughest for me to review because it's so hard to find the words to articulate how they make me feel...you know I hold your words close to my heart though, I always have...I couldn't help but smile at the Greek tragedy reference ;) The last line is a knockout. What more can I say, you never fail to enforce the reasons as to why you're my favourite poet :) xo

Frieda, this one is deeper than most oceans' depths, each line is synchronized with it's own metaphorical meaning and lends itself to multiple interpretations. The beauty comes with pairing it with Metallica. Most of the time, I like the music off so I can focus on the message of the writing, but this one demands the rhythm and feeling of the music. Incredible write. Quixotic and anarchonistic, but definitely enjoyable. Great write!

Your review made me smile, never one much for practicality, especially in poetry, thanks Star!
and yet life goes on for us all and sometimes poetic justice is all we find
and it is a gift we are all filled with pain and sorrow some handle it well some struggle
but on the outside you can`t tell you painted it well

Indeed it does, thanks muchly ron.
What struck me here is the great last line, an afterthought that provides a perfect close to this fine poem.

Glad you enjoyed, thanks Leslie.
I got three read requests on this one, after I already reviewed it. I guess you really wanted me to read this one, eh? Just kidding, I know the glitches -- I am just being silly. I stand by my original review!

Ha, the dang cafe....it's almost as annoying as moi. ;-)
i have always believed in poetic justice ... seems there is less justice of any kind these days .. i love this:
"calculating a mindless scream" ..lets see .... in 3, 2, 1 aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh! you do say something with your poetry always .. but every single line is forever a challenge and a treat ...(i say forever because no matter how many times i read it there is always something new and always something mysterious) repeating the title when you do is perfect .. lends a bit of an anchor for me ... you just keep getting better ... and today is my Freiday!!! yeh!!

Thanks so much Brittany.
Meaningless stupor transcends understanding to a level that is too often misunderstood as Myths correlate to the intensity of the number of exclamation points used when making a point.
Do we believe, or do we question? That is the question.
What one interprets as poetic justice is perhaps poetic injustice to another and therein lies the enigma.
The pendulum continues to swing to the left and to the right – it is when it stops in the middle that we must be concerned.

What, ha....was Zeus Italiano? Thanks Tate. ;-)
Poetic Justice, I can't help but think there's a deeper meaning behind all this. Metaphorically it's a real Picasso to read. One can take away just about anything they want from this poem because you leave it wide open for interpretation. But so are myths...making this all the more attractive to dive into and explore.
