Poetic justice myths

Poetic justice myths

A Poem by Frieda P

dark blank pages, in my soul's view
written in reasoning's default
Greek tragedies off the ledge
calculating a mindless scream
whispered under dispensation's breath
climbing the allotted wall's ballot
of poetic justice's myths
indulgences of the spirit kind proselytized
dealing out awards for time shares
permission granted, courtesy of unrest
brass tacks on the deck of substance
matters not the actualization
real world spun on a dime
leaving no time for still life's induction
corruption in tradition's regulations
installation's selection institutionalized
confinement in loss of gray density

nothing lasts forever, so says the rain...

You are definitely back Mrs.R...your poems are always the toughest for me to review because it's so hard to find the words to articulate how they make me feel...you know I hold your words close to my heart though, I always have...I couldn't help but smile at the Greek tragedy reference ;) The last line is a knockout. What more can I say, you never fail to enforce the reasons as to why you're my favourite poet :) xo

ironic how myths never die and neither does the rain... passed on my word of mouth like the water cycle.. it may change form but not what it is composed of. But everything in between the essence of water and the telling of stories can not be changed or undone.
A great poem!

A soulful, mournful piece that depicts sadness and loss in your usual magnificent choice of metaphors. The last line gives a profundity to the poem that leaves one thoughful and quiet of heart my Lady.
