metaphorical cadence ~

metaphorical cadence ~

A Poem by Frieda P

immersed myself aside your metaphorical cadence,
traced your words upon mine own breathless lips
thoughts of cherished clarity spoke to me
creating powerful momentum's rush
grasping at anomaly's embrace
poetic destiny's allure upon my skin
danced upon the cobweb's tangle,
sadness left the whirlwind walls
written in translation of braille sighs,
whispered within my spirit's destiny
earnestly sang the song in my soul
when harmony ceased reverence
calling  out my name to surrender,
hypnotically entranced
 as your words
 hypothetically
 disappear
yet,
 the
 sentiments
 clung
within
 my
 heart

Poetic destiny's allure upon my skin...they say that good cooking is the way to a man's heart...yeah right, if you want my heart, sit me down (or lay me down preferably) and read poetry to me...muses are commonly addressed in writing, but rarely do the words themselves get acknowledged in this way...of course, leave it to you to break the ground Mrs.R...you always make me think outside the box on every level I can think of...you have equated me with male artists in the past...have you ever noticed that I'm yet to draw any connections for you? It's because you're so unique...you are truly in a league of your own my dear friend :) xo

Grazie mille Ken.
There's a lot of ownership in the lines of this --- Frieda:

momentum's rush
anomaly's embrace
destiny's allure
cobweb's tangle,
spirit's destiny

Did I miss one...let me know...
I do like the work...yet again the font is quite tiny...

Haha! Yeah.
In a lady's point of view, fine means not alright. Depends on what you say now. :)
Nice to see you back again

A stunning form, the words became a whisper as I read. Love the concept of being "immersed in metaphorical cadence". Frieda, you just breathe poetry...

You are very welcome :)
You know Frieda, I love that song from Berlin, "Take My Breath Away" and it's perfect for this poem. As I read, I kept coming to this thought: we speak metaphorically, but in doing so we often speak truth and also, as we hypnotize and entice it isn't always to be hypothetical, but to actually seek to have words spoken as Braille across the heart, or to have poetics tickle across the skin and most definitely, to have sentiments cling and to take your breath away... what a fantastic write Frieda, I know that some of my cobwebs were very happy to be untangled... ;0)
