Seeking validation ~

...of scribbles & all that chicken scratch ;-)

poetry, a magical elixir's inclination  

attempting to recompense karma

taking liberties within a poet's foundation

ambivalence in the silence of voices

memories cut like a knife

or make the spirit soar,

inky finger's dabbling in intercourse

expression in articulation's transformation

within past tribulations & present ploys

circumventing a future's inscriptions,  

metaphorical artfulness or deception  

as far as the eye can comprehend 

pen'd of blood, sweat and tearful plights 

flights of fancy and the mundane

flowing reminisces on manifestation's pages  

peeking into another soul's elucidation 

decryption of dire straits and perplexities, 

abstruseness, conundrums & cliffhangers

interpretation's sweet and sour nuances 

written in destiny's inscrutableness

each a mirror'd enigma unto ourselves

seeking validation in poetic mystification

Oh my, Frieda, lots of stuff here. You missed all the fun when you were gone. I will have to fill you in on how I was told poets who have no specific metre and timing and rhyme have styles unrecognizable and are all the same! HA! No one can match nor duplicate your unique sense of wordage and the way you cobble it all together ...:)

This is quite a powerful piece, Frieda and I am sure no matter whether dark, sad, happy, joyful your friends here will be thrilled to read you again.

This was amazing and the imagery created within your words and your lines is very powerful. Where would we be without poetry, it helps relieves stress and helps us move on when life gets tough. I really liked this and can relate to it.

Looks like you altered this one a bit since I first read it. Can't find the words to say how much I love it. You know just how to paint a picture of the love of poetry and all its wonder. Wouldnt life be grey and lifeless without it...even the ones where we are purging? It makes my day to see your words here again...youve had some rough bumps in the road lately. But like the survivor you are I know you will keep moving on...xo
