There are words and emotions, and far, far more but- you seem to marry them in such a way that divorce would be impossible. You touch feelings in whatever state you're in and make them familiar to so many of your readers, '.. music in my soul makes me blind.. ' cos, perhaps, it takes you to that 'end of time'
We don't have to hear, ' .. a darkly hue'd love song ~ swaying in the beat of a deaf drum..' but experiencing its throbbing fall-out in your more than graphic offering, dear poet, teaches life-lessons.
Wonderful music you've got here that fits the somberness we all have experienced when searching for answers or relief. Such a pretty color is amber but we are never able to find the answers we crave, like tea leaves in the bottom of the glass they leave us wanting, and wanting more.
If we know better, we're not left with permanent memories. It's those tough ones that linger. Short and sweet, but anyone can relate who has been in love or lust. Loved the connection between the amber glass and "toasted my lustful insanity." You tell such a smooth story.
