Boldness of ink ~

Boldness of ink ~

A Poem by Frieda P
"

prompted after a conversation within a review...

"
voice clearly purg'd though boldness of inky passages
echoing that which most words cannot convey
pen cleanses the sins & fortifies the soul
speaks in volumes of verbose spirit
weeping in steaks of tearful metaphors,
bloodied and effervescent on the page
trails of outpouring sentiment's reward
          & emotional trials that translate
               of transcribed tribulations,
piercing the eye for all to see
   reflections smatter'd upon poetry
 within redemption's freedom
            & salvation's reality

this could almost be a sequel to your other poem about sylvia.

she was so strong in her poetry, as she put it she would "eat men like air"

but in real life she played the subservient role she was expected to...and suffered much for it.

love the angst in your poetry...the sarcasm...you are so good at it, my friend.

There are days when you miss someone you like very much and I don't know why but I miss you today badly, just hope and pray all is good with you and you're in great health...

Came to read your work and wish your safe and in good health, you're always in prayers and as a writer in heart.

I love this poem, Frieda. It is smooth as silk and word woven so beautifully...so many incredible lines..."Pen cleanses the spirit and fortifies the soul". It's true that writing is cathartic to exorcise our demons...but there is a price to be paid. We must open our entire heart out for all to see on the inked page. It's heartrending sometimes. Be blessed, my friend.

This is beautiful...literature can always convey what we're afraid to verbally admit.

wire pulls the skin wide, safety pins hold the flesh open for all to see, a piercing to make the boss skip the application,Skin infused with a breast plate of ink, shades to rainbow the path, twin towers, crumble to the monkey patch and the cello takes music to Jersey.

Hi Frieda, this is really good, one thing I appreciate about being a writer is the ability to pen down all emotions and feel better after doing that, you simply do not need to speak to someone but with your pen, you get healed just by writing. Good job

Another wonderful write on poetry. I am patiently awaiting your replies. I miss the back and forth. Anyway, enough, this will have to do for now as I pretend you are around.
