~ I want to skydive in red stilettos

~ I want to skydive in red stilettos

A Poem by Frieda P

I want to skydive in red stilettos

take a leap off the wild side,

sip Chateau Lafite & Margaux

whilst driving 100 mph,

wind blown tresses

in a vintage Lamborghini,

cruise on the Rising Sun

in the south of France

sunbathe naked on the sands

of an Italian villa's shores,

take a cool dip in luscious

champagne bubbles

 at the Fontana di Trevi,

dance a sultry tango amidst

a moonlit Brazilian jungle,

have my spirit soar

in sheer delirium

yet,

more than anything at all ~

I want to love

with all the fire & soul

in my heart

Oh I how I love these poems....I have wrote a few myself and I know how much fun they are and at the same time courageous to put them out there...which is why I don't share mine...big chicken....but not you my new friend...Love your style. This is beautiful and daring, feminine and strong. Great work!

Very powerful and excellent, Frieda; and I personally wouldn't recommend skydiving in red stilettos, unless you get a parachute that goes with red; then it would be okay; it wouldn't do to look like a dork!

Would I do that? I myself enjoy wearing them--err--never mind!
skydiving is okay. I never liked it much. except when I did it. but now I'm deathly afraid of heights. read a quote this morning by seth godin. he said, instead of planning a vacation, plan a life that you don't have to escape from.

He doesn't know muchly about fantasizing does he? Thanks for peeking in.
i absolutely love this! Not sure i can say anything that hasn't already been said, but I especially love the holiday-like feeling it has. Definitely pepped me up for what I hope will be one of my best summers yet. Have some travel planned out. Oh how I'd love to take a dip in champagne though ;)
Edgy, sexy and passionate poem, Frieda. Love it! :)

Thanks so much Spacecadet! :)
Love, love Mick Hucknall he is one of my favorite blue-eyed soul singers and the poem is so continental. One of those "get away" poems, smart, refreshing and fun like, "just got paid" Friday night John, piece. I want it, got to have it in my library.

Love the confidence in this poem, this inspires people to take chances/ risks once in a while. Whether it is for love, or something else. Nicely written Frieda. :-) :-D

Ha now that I'd love to see! ;)
skydiving in red stilettos, i would like to see that...

sunbathing naked on an italian shore...i promise i will look the other way...ha ha.

reckless abandon in this ...the kind we feel in youth and wish we could get back in older age when we are making our bucket lists.

Ah the bucket list gets longer as life gets shorter, thanks so much jacob.
Frieda, you knew I would love your wild abandoned desires. Not sure I will ever get the image of you sky diving in red stilettos cause I can see and feel your smiling laughter, hair whipping around .. beautiful. With all that your life has been through and meant you are more than able to love with all the fire and soul in your heart. And I know all would feel this in the way the earth moved!! I sure know i would. Guess it's too late to ask if I could dance with you huh? Or maybe be allowed to walk that beach you sunbathe? er .. ;0)

Indeed it is, thanks Owlgirl.
I am game for all those things, when do we leave.
Seriously though, a great pep talk to inspire someone to take chances.

I truly believe the greatest chance we take is on love, but it also give=s us the biggest rush.
