[paradoxical parenthesis]

[paradoxical parenthesis]

A Poem by Frieda P

paradoxical parenthesis
gypsy wanderings,
excursions
& conceptual volition
people come,
 people stray,
some even stay
filling a void,
 leaving one behind
drifting footnotes
 of our lives intentions
departures,
 detours & stop signs
transgressions amidst,
 rambling digressions
or merely deflections
 in their own deviations
we mourn, rejoice
 and make modifications
revising an alteration
 aside our own
 aberration's fancy,
forever a part of our
 shifting transmutation
within a beguiled
 metaphorical mindfulness,
transposing metamorphosis
 in profound surrender,
teaching us to dance
 amidst raindrops
as friends, family,
 & foe flutter by ~

I read this on my phone and apparently my review did not work. A clever piece in word, form, and thought.

Thanks KL.
The yin and yang...as for me I refuse to see the mountain...I refuse to see the valley..
I try and flatline..otherwise it's up the mountain..then down to the valley...over and over and over again.
Good job on this Miss Frieda..
Enjoyed it.

Thanks so much irish...
Your poem reminds me of the Native American saying, we are known by the tracks we leave. Yes there is metamorphosis in this, in how we treat and especially if we treat with mutual respect, equality and kindness each other. We are influenced by those we meet in one way or another. And these footprints are etched on our hearts.

In so many ways your poem brings this alive with art, alive with the music each word sings and alive with the flavors found in your heart Frieda. Frieda you and your poetry truly do teach us to dance amidst rain drops and we are morphed into human beings...

Hope you realize how much your poetry means, leaves footprints, for many people. And me.

Rhyme, what? ;) Ha, thanks Pryde, glad you enjoyed...
A beautiful poem. I have a gypsy spirit. Took me years to quit moving away from things and people.

Life is fair. We decide our place. Sometime we get turn around and need to find our place of comfort. No weakness in the excellent poetry. Made me think this afternoon.

This spoke to me deeply. Having had people I love come and go from my life, on many occasions, has left me hesitant. But you have captured it in such a beautiful way. It reminds me to just let go and let life happen. Amazing work my friend! :)
