KUBLA/FRIEDA COLLAB: WHITE NOISE REHAB

KUBLA/FRIEDA COLLAB: WHITE NOISE REHAB

A Poem by Frieda P

joy echoes within pain's mentality
sinking to the depths of hostility
chasms of voided punctuation
coming down the virtual abysmal pike
looking glass questions broken molds
whoever made you who you are
now a fragmented sustenance
skyward in atmospheric holds
paid the piper tenfold
coming round hard again
gorged on fear's master plot
engulfed in self defense hereafter
altered the phoenix Lazarus's plight of fancy
raised the bar of hourglass lessons
in dusty rewritten history's score
spoken amen upon kingdom's door
knocked at opportunity's disavowing contempt
spurned  rejection's commencing cold shoulder
sanctioned on a new horizon's embrace
ascended an amber moon's rising sun
upon retribution of salvation's pardon
sang hallelujah in lofty acceptance's key
a banshee's sermon lulled to slumber
on its theoretic pillow of white noise
snores of rapt anxiety infecting peace of mind
with shallow heaves of doomsday rasp
the keenest clan cremated their prescription
pills and withdrew into time capsule rehabilitation
the paid piper left to pad his vices unattended
stole away with the morrow's box of odds
leaving nothing but a stack of purity's
defunct receipts
a redundancy of dizzy hourglasses
retching on the flawed economics
of last resorts under guise of final offers
history became negotiable when languages erupted
the doorknob exploded giving birth to
rhetorical landmines
apathy's implicit damning of philanthropy
grew dimensions and entombed the breath
of blue infinity debunking it to death

Out of the ash
I rise with my red hair
And I eat men like air.

Sylvia Plath 23-29 October 1962

I absolutely love this except I would love to know who wrote what. I think I can tell by each of your writing styles now but I'd like to be sure. It looks like you each might be using descriptions to sketch each other and the way one see's the other but whatenever it is (misspelled on purpose), it is alright with me :).

You two rise and fall in an incredible mash of brain power, oozing wit and an incredible marriage of words; what's more, i've read and read and truly can't see the joins.

For some reason i think of the Lotus Eaters, then, move into induced un-thought with wings that fly to the moon and sun in quick succession. Tis a glorious wonderful ride of superb wording and visual inspiration.. yes, think i appreciated this.. and more.

Looking at who a person is and realizing that their ego is but an inflated projection of what they are inside, and wondering who the person truly is when parted from the emptiness inflated to look as if it contained something meaningful . . . Intense, I like it.

A crazy and quite disturbing apex in the wording, well done, good read.

Oh another piece of sheer loveliness from you two. This has been in my read requests for a bit and I've been anxiously anticipating my chance to read, ponder, and review. The time finally came and I'm thrilled beyond measure--as usual with the two of you combined or not...the way you capture attention, stimulate the mind, and reach into the heart is magical. Naturally I'll be adding this to my faves~being rather fond of Sylvia Plath...and this piece will need multiple reads with unwavering attention.

You are most welcome Steve and Frieda. Looking forward to more such collabs from you.
sang hallelujah in lofty acceptance's key... :) Ah yes - it's either that, or be swallowed up by that blah blah blah white noise that masquerades as reality... Bravo, Frieda and Steve - your words meld in truth like Yin and Yang...
