Love's letter silences ~

Love's letter silences ~

A Poem by Frieda P

Pressed your love letter to my breast,
written in temporary braille upon my lips
meaning resonated in a recessed heart
too late after the embers flirted
dancing eyes were too blinded by light
to see the strength in reverence's destiny
      misread consent of misinterpret'd promises
   scripted upon history's ravaged silences
your words lost amidst faith & sanctity
left to burn within the solitude of your fire

You've managed to capture two entirely different perspectives of a relationship from the same participants of the relationship itself, the breathtaking apex in which all the emotions have finally been transferred in stunning perfection to a letter while the other is too lost in the dance to truly treasure the words for what they were. Eventually, the apex led downhill and something happened to take them from your speaker, and your speaker nudges from being lost in trance to the apex that the other had so lonesomely inhabited by themself, and the speaker finally comprehends the letter for what it's worth . . .
Amazing, Frieda, keep it up.

Oh Frieda, not sure, if my tears are, from your poem or my depression. This poignant poem is gorgeous and moving, in it's elegants.

This is always true of old love letters. Love letters garter strength with the passage of time away from that glair of the moment of their inception.
