Inky recall ~

Inky recall ~

A Poem by Frieda P

your inky recall
   recoils under
        my skin
   took its toll
    in beastly
        violent shades
black & blue
       darkly drawn
    bad blood
    crimson oozing
       burnt scars
indelibly sunk
       into my psyche
encas'd my heart
      in ice temples
       glass'd apprehension
   left its mark
         upon the soul
marr'd of spiteful apathy
             bane of my existence
retreating behind
   secrets of
        closed doors
            remembrance's

There's a reason I can't read your stuff when I'm sick Mrs.R...the richness of the images and emotions you evoke demands one's undivided attention, as does your poetic talent, which is unparalleled. The connection between ink and blood is irresistible to a writer...I think we all can relate to that on the deepest level. You've been indelibly sunk in my psyche for a long time love...the resonance of your voice in my imagination, and my heart, defies description...awesomeness here as always :) xo

Wow, this is just totally mind blowing and these lines were my favourite. Those lines just punched my heart, technically. Lovely. xo

These lines resonate in the heart...the abuse always leaves a mark...usually a permanent one. Sigh... this one was painful to read. xo

You described those inky traces of past events sunken into the fabric (paper) of your mind with elegant word play. May I add:

Ink

Heavy drops of ink,
black to blue to pink
how they tend to sink.
