Pardons on ashes...

Pardons on ashes...

A Poem by Frieda P

racking the gray matter
'tween a rock and a hard choice
no right or wrong,
        just hit and run fines
funky monkey wrenches
                    of life's kerfuffles
who gets to choose who's
           sacrificed for the greater good
reigning apologies on tears of a clown
 pardons on grave-site's ashes,
                          till we all fall down

Not sure how you did it but this is sadly touching mixed with a bit of humor…. Evry life makes its mark on Earth, even if it is a small mark doesn't make them any less in the eyes of loved ones or God.

Ha....you made me smile, wipe those tears and put your big boy pants on now hon ;-) x
Can feel the angst and frustration, which fills this pen with the ink that flows across the page/screen. As I want to join you, in howling, at the rising sun, against the injustices and pig-headed decisions made, by those, in power. Maybe, make a small change, in the order of things.

dear Frieda... "reigning apologies on
tears of a clown". I love the song,
"Bring in the Clowns"... especially
when sung by Barbara Streisand.
I just penned a poem alluding to a
Pardon....but have not yet posted it.
I remember skipping rope in grade school
and singing London Bridge is falling down.
You have a way of playing a beautiful
Golden harp with an angel's touch.
truly... Pat
