Pardons on ashes...

Pardons on ashes...

A Poem by Frieda P

racking the gray matter
'tween a rock and a hard choice
no right or wrong,
        just hit and run fines
funky monkey wrenches
                    of life's kerfuffles
who gets to choose who's
           sacrificed for the greater good
reigning apologies on tears of a clown
 pardons on grave-site's ashes,
                          till we all fall down

"apologies on tears of a clown"

In life we get hurt, trampled upon, forsaken to wolves, shattered as glass, melt in hot iron, burried in cemented graves. Every one has different appraoches to handling every single situation(s). I would say whatever is for the greater good of the victim and their triumph over injustice. Forgiveness can be the ultimate but that is extremely hard to do...An excellent one...:)................

I ask that everyday! Just exactly who is it that is making the decisions that seem so senseless. Well-written, profound, and perplexing in thought.

I can feel the frustration in your words Freida and I love the way you mixed in a little humor to lighten the mood. Fantastic as always.

I love this one. Who chooses? Such a simple question, but one without an answer.

A really poignant piece, Frieda. Who lives without regrets and eventually it gets too late to take anything back.

And we do all fall down. So many of us forget eventually we all end up in the same place but in the meantime who is to decide the fate of others? What elevated status have these people garnered except the privilege of where they were born and who they call parents. Love the picture.

the poor are sacrificed...it takes money to stand up to the establishment and have a voice...all of us little voices are only the "penny for your thoughts" kind...and we are disregarded.

Thanks for your thoughts jacob.
Can't find one even now,
yes, I am forgiven.
But I can't forgive myself for no stone.
The solar lights wrap dragonflies into the carved remembrance.
Nights little sentinels
pausing the love of thoughts
as they drive past.
