~ Moonrise, Moonset ~

~ Moonrise, Moonset ~

A Poem by Frieda P

I sigh

in light

 of the moon,

hung so low

     unfolding

 early morns

of the skies'

        soothing

iridescent pinks

   in sea blue depths

sun reflecting

     off its face

enraptur'd

thoughts again,

as twilight

    seeks

a brilliant

finale in

  showy illumination

taking a bow

dipping in its

   amethyst glow

reminding me

  of twinklin'

 diamond glints

   in your

  come hither eyes

   & the warmth

       of your touch ~

 hopelessly

   unfurl'd

    in lit

    shadows

I have wanted to comment on this heart filled poem, but honestly didn't think I could say anything that would do justice to your artististic efforts. I have come back to it, actually it has drawn me back many times now, it's like it owns me or something, HA. I know, strange huh! I think of these lines often: reminding me
of twinklin'
diamond glints
in your
come hither eyes
& the warmth
of your touch ~
And I think about the colors of early morning and twilight, of the way it's a time for walks and holding hands and telling all the secrets that make us who we are... it's a time for risking everything..... Frieda, it's just simply beautiful.

Your very welcome Frieda! :-)
Its like you took your nyctophilia and then related it to a person's qualities, which is awesome. Staying up late and loving the night is better when someone else can share it with you but not just anyone some one who understands you and gets you to the point of comfort and a lack so secrecy intimate enough to feel joy and pain as one .....the night itself is beautiful but if it could form a backdrop to a person's love it becomes magic thank u for this Frieda

The colors indicative of the poem and vice versa...shows how a good word is the same as a brush stroke...they both create such beautiful things that can take our imagination where we love to go. I want to revel in the hues and I do. Gorgeous stuff Frieda.

As a lover of celestial beauty, I definitely fell in love with this poem! :)

Comparing such beauty to your lover's eyes is a splendid compliment.

Gorgeous poem, overall.

Ethereal and beautifully composed Frieda. Hoping you are well.

It gives me a warm image of a soft summer day and evening. The apostrophes grow fewer. That's nice as well. :p
