Choked on the antidote...

Choked on the antidote...

A Poem by Frieda P
"

sipping darkness

"
choked on the bite of your denial
sipping darkness filled to the brim
throat closed in tasteless shadows
              drowned in contagion's overflow
flowery verbiage stabbing lured
eyes pour'd of scar'd crimson blood
breath's rhythm, laboriously sobbing
                of  darkly hue'd rose phrases
scorch'd of white lighting's glaring lies
                      written in your poetic stare
played the game within nightmare rules
devil kept score in relentless paces
grim were reception'd badinage airs
             torn into fleshy soul's creations
cut in line for a temper'd rhyme
           pretense for a formidable antidote
no cure for sopping contradictions
toying of cut throat's detest'd deceit

You need to pour some sugar on that to make it go down easier!! Ha.. ;-p.

Seriously seems someone has swallowed a very bitter pill in the form of some dark realizations. Those thoughts were there all along but when placed in just the right light an epiphany was born. Now theres nothing left but choking down that nasty stuff.

On another note Def Leppard is the perfect way to start the day.... pour some sugar on me...sorry wrong song..xo

pounding and relentless lines Frieda! all wrapped in uncontrolled sobbing .. helpless under the spell of a torn and battered heart ... been there ... it ain't easy is it!? only the passing of time (as it where) only the passing of time .. demands retribution doesn't it!? alas ... they just skip on down the road unscathed ..

throat closed in tasteless shadows-my favourite line.
Marvelous play of words :)

Of course I love this, although I wonder if there is a need for an apostrophe in hue'd. As always, you trip well on the dark side.

Oh my lanta! You have dug right into it and left no room for recourse. Fantastic job with this, Frieda. What a bitter pill to swallow and you have shoved it down my throat! In a good way of course! ;)

Love your work! Outstanding! xo :)
