Hallelujah, you bore me...‏

Hallelujah, you bore me...‏

A Poem by Frieda P

you bore me,
stop shuffling that stuff
exhaling smoky vapors
steamy delicacies bite
moonlit zephyrs are a farce
butterflies altogether expired
envy and loathing are blank
posies wilted, lovers jilted
monkey's stuck in the eye
same old darkly sing along
poppies & Cohen over & over
*play it again Sam*
cotton candy castles take a dive
laughing in thine own face
lunatics missed the boat
in apostrophe'd apocalypse
this is what they call  fantasmic idioms
repeating the same old tired phrases
air your dirty laundry closer to the disposal
Hallelujah!...there you go again...

Haha Kind of ironic that I would take on this one today in light of line two and that other poem ;) I knew by the title that this would be something different, and you never disappoint. I love how you've turned many of your poetic trademarks on their ear here. So these are what fantasmic idioms are...I'm assuming that's your own creation for I've never heard the term before. Even in your humourous pieces I come away feeling as though I've learned something, usually how to write insanely brilliant poetry...kudos as always Mrs.R :) xo

Love this! Enjoyed the fashionably placed idioms and how they reflect sarcasm and wit. Well done, as always, Frieda! (Doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result, is insanity... so I guess saying the same tired ole things over and over again can be a bit insane as well.. lol).

I love this because it makes me find humor in myself and in others I know. What an incredibly refreshing read!

Cris cross applesauce overgoad capchad Friedas ear.
Lucky Lucky overgoad, His point is clear.
Overgoad, robs her, whispers manna to her mouth,
Bow down, Oh no she won't,
Overgoad,licks her,Salt block of Honey,
Showers her with candling thought.
Overgoad, speaking to Fancy Freida and myself about
Off line company that we were keeping, told us...

"Birds with feathers flies in flocks. You boys n Girls understand what I'm saying to you ?."

Fun for Following, But don't stand in the Gate when she cuts the Cows loose.
Nature will find a way....

A found this poem very cute. There are so many catastrophes happening here. Posies wilted lovers jilted, cotton candy castles taking a dive and the worst, butterflies dying altogether. Brings on lots of smiles.

You score some great points here Frieda. We must have the ability to sometimes smile at ourselves. Much enjoyed!

Haha...sorry, I couldn't help but grin a little at this. It cracks me up. I think I know where the humour in that other piece came from now. Plus, I saw Cohen again. No, but you have a bit of bite to your writing. At least, in this one you do. It's quite funny, but maybe that's just me lol I find sarcasm and satire very, very humorous lol
