I couldn't help but equate the dream you speak of to a common misery we all brave through some time or another, which is the sorrow from the aftermath of a heartbreak. Truth comes when the nightmare ends and you are able to evaluate things rationally for what they truly are.
Terrifying nonetheless how nightmares are often as real as our dreams, and how they manipulate our judgment very easily.

Some of my dreams are definitely diabolical. Some of them I've had so many times I've thought of writing them on the WC but that's getting just a little to personal in a public forum for me. I really liked this poem

I guess it's because my dreams are about how I feel about my time in Afghanistan and Iraq now and not the situation itself or how I felt about it at the time. Those days are like another galaxy away from here that keeps sending meteors blazing through my subconscious.
It's about when reality upstages the nightmares Mark. ;-P

As a sufferer of PTSD, this poem screams to me, of the reality, I have lived through, in my struggle to find balance, in my life, with the slow climb, back to normalcy.

Understandable, it's tough when your reality surpasses your nightmares.
You know I was thinking real hard about getting to this poem yesterday and obviously read another that now I don't know the name of. I'll find it, anyway it works out because my intentions are to read all of your "flair with a word" anyways. Hate shady dreams you can't control even if you twitch your nose and turn your shoulder inward a couple of times in quick motions. Diva Divine!

Your review brought a smile to my face, thanks Shirlena!
If you want to know me, read my poetry, it's all in there. I am a mother of three sons (my finest moments) a sister, a survivor and a little bit crazy. I lost my beloved sister to suicide, so you'll.. more..
