I dance alone 

     in unworldly spaces    'tween

                a darkly disenchanted spin

          divided in solitaire steps   

             to that place of off key symphonies, 

  once our strides harmoniously rhymed

    rhythm of blues tripped my feather'd shoes

        jazzy druthers sighing in sad tune'd sashays ,

          longing to prance in madness of elegant 

                             cross'd body gilded tones

  want to be your Terpsikhore once again

      feel your empowerment move my soul

         upon amber'd cloud nine perfect skies

I haven't read any of the reviews, but in light of how many there are, I wonder how many times you've been told that you never dance alone...well, whatever the case, I'm looking you in the eye right now and telling you, you will never dance alone Mrs.R, as long as I'm around. Quite sad, filled with powerful emotions and a longing of sorts for something that is no longer close to one anymore as far as touching, tangibility but recalls a flood of memories...missing someone. Touching and heart wrenching piece...I'm sure touching all who read it.

One of the most melancholy poems, I read, in a while. Am hoping this isn't how you're feeling, at the moment, Frieda. Um..Frieda, I have seen a different spelling for Terpsikhore, which a "c" is used, instead of the "k", you have. Not sure, which is the proper spelling.
