I tread softly upon your legacy ~

I tread softly upon your legacy ~

A Poem by Frieda P
"

"Can I show you what you are for me" ~Evanescence

"

I tread softly upon your legacy

angel of mine with broken wings,

traces left behind in soft whispers

the best of times gone awry,

when you whirl through my head

soaring on kaleidoscopic tranquility

wrapped in lavender zephyr sighs

dancing on clouds of ethereal hope

carefree and peaceful without worry

floating above lapis forbidden skies

like a effulgent butterfly haunting me

in the darkly mindless hours of night

when the haze clears my conscious etchings

       you flutter amidst my words

exhaling ephemeral moments of poetry

swirls of splendiferous opulence

dreams beyond my comprehension,

I escape to heavenly dimensions

'drips of moonlight washing over me'

lingering in this stately haven of intention

Frieda, you wrap us in lavender zephyr sighs and lapis forbidden skies allowing us to whirl with and within the chaos of fluttering butterflies emerging from the book of your sorrow and we may not know all that you feel inside, we want to stand by you inhaling and exhaling the moments of your poetry... Frieda this writing you do is excellent in its emotional depth as well as just plain out right beautiful, expressive artistry... loved the song and graphic... did you notice the blue one on the right, me singing your poem, sorry, you drew me in... ~~redzone

this is soft and winsome and lovely and that tinge of sadness flits between the pretty words. I don't have an angel or a muse. I have a banshee and a bad attitude. But I do appreciate this. I find it both beautiful and heart tugging.

We tiptoe through trying to save what beauty we can amongst the carnage. it is a delicate job and not for the weak. You are a survivor, you are strong and your love echoes far beyond the heavens. It's a beautiful poem and the title is breathtaking. I held my breath as I walked through your words.

There is a reason it took me so long to read this, Frieda... Such depth you bring to each word you write, especially when you write of your beautiful sister... yes, you tread softly, but with steel strength in every step.

soaring on kaleidoscopic tranquility
wrapped in lavender zephyr sighs...

These are images that make me know I am in the (cyber) presence of a great poet...

The pleasure is mine, Frieda.

Through a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity, awakes, the whole to fill the Hole.Happy St. Pats, got my green on.

Top of the day to you too lee, cheer!
I've always viewed the concept of angels rather manipulative in the way they present themselves benevolently, as if they were clearly superior and made no mistake. The angel your speaker describes, however, seems to project themself by reflection across the skies of your intellect in multiple areas simultaneously, with the same image in each reflection. I see this as an action done over and over again to appear as the savior of your speaker, and the angels knows it, hence the haven of intention. The manipulative relationship thrives with parasitism, the angel clearly feeding off the love of the mundane in order to revel in their beauty...
