Evanescent moments~

Evanescent moments~

A Poem by Frieda P
"

run with the wild horses....

"
Nourish my spirit, burn my loins from within
take me to that place I've never been
     free my innermost gratifying
                        flights of reverie
leaping in recklessly with wind's abandon,
let's do that frenzied tango that lover's do
if only for an evanescent night's embrace,
                    or a million years
moments are feverishly fleeting
                 as dark drapes are drawn
you may not know me in the light of dawn
swift exits cause for scarlet dissolution
don't let me sway away like wild horses

Another charming write Frieda...I don't know how you come up with so much so quickly. Obviously your pen runneth over...sometimes mine come and don't seem to stop and then nothing for a time. Bottle whatever that is you drinking and send me some please.

though hot and emblazoned ... this one is more tame for you (i think) its gentle .. the way horses stand over their young and each other .. but its wild alright ..like mustangs ... but romantic .. and i like the way you tie time from here to eternity ... i like this one a lot .. thanks for sharing it

This poem of yours is a symbol of that freedom that each of us seeks from within: It inspired me to write this tiny gift poem for you which you may keep as your own:

Wild Bats

Spirits may no longer hide
in those caverns of her mind.
Let them climb those deep and wide
canyon walls as they‘re inclined,
soaring wildly as they glide
seeking what they’re meant to find
hatching hunches in their stride.
Whim and wonder guide the blind.

Another great poem, Frieda! I say, must be an amazing guy who can "Nourish my spirit, burn my loins from within/take me to that place I've never been."

You capture quite well that adventurous feeling of a night of passion, that seems endless in the moment, but quickly fades away. There's a twinge of sadness to it too, as in

"you may not know me in the light of dawn
swift exits cause for scarlet dissolution
don't let me sway away like wild horses."

It's as if the adventure and craziness all has to end and fade away at some point. But it can still leave some fond memories, I think.
