You are my b'MuSEment...

You are my b'MuSEment...

A Poem by Frieda P

You're my muse,

you run hot and cold

icy fire

runs through

your inky veins

at times you gut me,

like a twitch

 raining in my eyes

flip'd over,

 warm words resemble

tull'd silk perfection,

sideways again in

darkly cobalt'd hurricane tides

bubbles of recess'd glint

a farsighted  edgy distraction

you give it to me all

from end to beginning sighs

Burbles of wild

Roddenberry brambles

ramble on

like blistering skies romancing

a dimwitted  sapphir'd night

 encounters,

stuck shanghaiing

a lightning

bolt's stagger

fell to earth in a sting

of exasperated bumbl'd bees

you sang off key in the shade

of lemongrass' canopy

hush'd me with a groan of

palm tree fronds in heat

as heart's analogy

melted in a

mellow

 fluff

of

 marshmallow

gooey

goodness

continuously

 aMUSEd

as you

drip

into

pen'd

consciousness....

I'll start with the technical bits...inky veins, I love that...and shanghaiing...even I would never think of using that word Mrs.R ;P And of course I love the prominent presence of blue in this piece, cobalt'd, sapphire'd and so on...the presence of blue is always a sure-fire way to my poetic heart ;P

Now for the important points. This is hands-down one of the most eloquent odes to a muse I have ever read, and the rapid popularity that this one has garnered suggests that I'm not alone. This is definitely one for my library...the depth and richness of the emotions in this piece just demands repeated readings. I am truly in awe of this one. And if anyone's muse demands such devotion, it's yours, for she's made you the best poet in the Cafe...I won't speak for anyone else, but you set the standard and raise the bar higher than anyone I can think of in terms of marrying pure emotion and pure imagination. You've done it again love :) xo

my grand daughter and i watched and listened to the beautiful Lindsey Stirling and celebrated her 12 b-day .. she also plays the fiddle ... so thank you for turning us on to Lindsey ... she is captivating as she dances across the strings of the universe ... so not to be distracted from your poem ... i go to read :)
so much sorrow and pain says i ... don't think i can read again ... its like when i watched the Passion of Christ by Mel Gibson ... wrenches too much out of me to have another go ... i sense you are getting to the real nitty gritty of your heart and soul ... wishing you well and big hugs

The beauty of your poetry is that you find something new to write about something which is ubiquitous in every poet's mind. I wonder how you find so much of inspiration to write so many beautiful things about love. Every time I read your work, I feel like writing like you. But then I realize the difference...

You're too kind, reading everyone's poetry is actually what prompted this one, jazz'd you enjoyed.
Recognizing the other for what they are and finding beauty in the most rhythmic movements as well as the moments when there is nothing to find, acknowledging the caprice of the other person and choosing to love them despite it, with it. I can't help but imagine that their movements are mundane, only to be truly seen as beauty in the eyes of certain people . . .
Well expressed!

No weakness in the amazing poetry. Good when we are a gooey mess for the emotion of love.
