Oh Frieda, this poem more than any other poem, I've read, tucks at my heart's strings, with it's lament of what was lost. Especially, after a close friend near brush with death, after a major stroke, on February 14th, and sequential three seizures, as an aftermath of the stroke. I wish i could fly up there and bring her, back, so the two of you, could have more time, together. Thank you, for sharing this very personal poem, with us.
Sorry to hear that therisa, thanks for your lovely thoughts here.

Sorrow is a burden we carry as well as desolation. We long to meet our beloved people on the other side but then we have a mission here to accomplish and others that need us too...At least we are visitors to them now in our dreams...A marvelous sad write...:)..............

Left behind is the cruelest to endure, thanks for your thoughts Sami.
Such sadness written so beautifully. '.. brought hydrangeas' sapphire rains '
And in return, you'll find an oh so welcome visitor holding your hand when the snow lies crisp and the cold air chills, dear friend. Tis true, i know it. (You)

I get peace from poetry, there just happens to be wolves disturbing the quiet haha
That one line says it all... when a loved one dies so unexpectedly lifes very essence is altered. What would the rhyme and verse of each day be if she was still here? I'm sure youve thought about that numerous times. Not just figuratively but literally. The words you pen would be vastly different...at least regarding her.
Theres no doubt you would fly to her if you could....just to have one moment in her embrace. The very thought brings tears to the eyes of all who read your very personal words. No love has ever shined brighter then the love you have for her...no pain has cried out louder then what you express with us all. It is humbling to see it...the reverance is almost to much to bear. My heart aches for you my dearest friend....xo

Thanks Red, you've touched my heart with your sweet sentiments. x
I feel a desolation mixed with great hope. Suffering is palpable, yet it has brought about a great composition. Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece.
I really wish I knew the exact perfect words to say to relieve this sorrowed burden from you dear Frieda but I don't. I do however know that every word of this sad but wonderful poem is true. I know that if you could fly to her you would without hesitation.
Your are the most brilliant poet I know because you have the ability to make me smile or break my heart with your words.

There really are no words Jack, thanks for your kindness, some things just need to be said.
If you want to know me, read my poetry, it's all in there. I am a mother of three sons (my finest moments) a sister, a survivor and a little bit crazy. I lost my beloved sister to suicide, so you'll.. more..
