Reverie's Echo

Reverie's Echo

A Poem by Frieda P
"

Thanks noodlebumble for the inspiring graphic ♥

"

A thought captivated me,

upon reverie's echoes

 like a lovely dream

feelings that linger'd long after

the wind touched my face

in a tender embrace of yesterday

a discernible hush,

of a whisper in my ear

  caressed my heart

   as it took flight,

fragrance of wildflowers

 in my hair

scent of silk and satin sheet nights

of when our shores crash'd,

musky reminiscent

of fond

remembrances

you said goodbye ~

I learn'd to fly, after time

 when

 you were still mine

Beautiful places you took me with in your words.

The above lines were my favorite. Sweet and kind places and memories are always with us. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

Spectacular portrayal of a relationship in which only half of the participants took to the air in the pirouette of love, and the other, bored of watching you soar yet too afraid to take flight themself, left while you were in the air. The grace of flying enraptured you, however, and you decided to caress the memories and keep to the air where the emotions floated around freely, although unrequited.

Living in the grace of where there should be none; lovely, to say so myself.

A poem that touches every sense so gently, like a reverie... or an echo. Truly a gorgeously crafted piece, Frieda!

Thanks for your lovely words Rita.
Letting go of love at times liberates your soul. This seems to be one of those.
