How did you know me so intimately? Good gracious! You are creepy, mother!
Kidding aside, I love the story within this poem. You gave life and beauty to the painting (which, by the way, is intriguingly lovely). You fused mystery in the character and that makes me feel like I know her personally. As usual, you write so well! Can I borrow your pen, mothernutter?

Loved it Frieda...just a new tack for you..quite delightful.
your description of this person can only mean that you know her very well, which can only mean that what you have written is a great description of that person, so what I mean to say is,,,,,just tell me to shut up right now....

You paint a really powerful picture of this woman...she came alive in my mind....her emotions engulfing and cutting into me. The painting is really expressive too. We are all a mystery, aren't we? carrying our sorrows along the way. Brilliantly done, my friend.

Frieda, this is an absolutely beautiful poem. This is a different style for you and I love it. It's such a beautiful write and really well written as ever. I really enjoyed how different it was for you and you aced it as always. The sadness in this poem reaches and pulls at my heart. The wording and imagery and written to perfection as always.
And my word, this absolutely stunning artwork blows my mind. When you first showed this to me all I could do was stare at it in awe. You know how much I adore Stars artwork, I really wish she sold some because I would honestly go down to her gallery and buy them all (when I have money) and hang them up in my flat. I adore them. She really captures the emotion of the girl and the colours blend in beautifully. It is so vivid makes me feel like I am with her.
A lovely piece altogether. Flip flops & all that jazz! xo

Don't we all wear masks to hide our true feelings. Always a fraud of what others think. In this world we all walk alone in some way. As always nice work Moonbeam.

So true Dale, it's sort of a shame, no? Thanks so much for your thoughts....

it is a shame… it makes as to wear sometimes we don't know who we really are.

I think that's why most of us write poetry, to dig our souls out....

Can't argue with that.

I don't know which came first, the gentle trickle of words, or, the illustration. Your words seem to hide a story almost too painful to detail, whilst, the shadows of the painting has a what.. must find a word .. perhaps a fragility that's hard to pinpoint. It says more than it shows - is perhaps what i mean. If i read were to read your poem over and over, then, look at the painting - the figure near enclosed in that dark shadowing.., I think my heart would tremble
