Swept away in a quiver ~

Swept away in a quiver ~

A Poem by Frieda P

Swept away 'tween rapture's dance

     paused naked round fiery embers

our souls like whispers

    hush'd in the wind's howls

stars smiled gently upon lusty skies

   enchanted lunar moon

      twinkling in his eye

         lit upon desire

sipping streams of dahlia wine

drink you in with each sinful spin

thrumming in this twirl of ecstasy

  music pounding in the heart

bodies pulsating to a swaying tempo,

   thrashing rhythmically in this crush

   fading into each breathless tremor

       sounded a gentle quiver

bodies bent in intoxicating unison's swagger

connected in a rhapsodic concerto

   intertwined in synchronized euphoria

           exhalations of frenzied elation

                      blared a sultry night

You are most welcome Frieda.

Oh I like that, thanks so much for sharing...
Carving out a moment, to revisit, a mental hickey,That shows up when I take off a tee shirt, Oysters sea salt Flames drift wood dunes hot tin towels blankets coiled under the stars, no punctuation a thought smokey in my memory ,Led in my pencil.

Snow on it's way right now....where's spring?
I need a week in the emotion of the poem.

I like the lines above a lot. Good to know ecstasy and a heart running freely. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Ha, what a name!! YYY? haha Thanks so much Connie, and hmmm, I never thought of it that way. ;-)
Sounds to me like the perfect secluded evening beach, cool sea breezes upon passion heated skin, the sound of the surf gently lulling all thoughts to only this moment, two silhouettes outlined by moonlit pure white sand, palm leaves swaying in the sky above and love…wonderful, blissful love with nary a care in the world.

Frieda, this is definitely a wake up call this morning. Your words produce hypnotic feelings that carry me softly to this exotic destination. No disenchanted sandcastles on this beach. Amazing my friend.
