Dancing with fireflies

~ 'hugs from ten thousand lightning bugs'

Spinning under the gravitational

               whirl of starlight's lure 

 dancing with fireflies until

               twilight's dawning heights

 escaping in our own little world 

                       of  macrocosms' bliss

 my shadow melds deeply

                   enmeshed unto thy spirit

 as your wings wildly fondle 

                       this nectar'd confection

 twirling in undulating

                       symbiotic symphonies' frenzy

 we sway together in darkly

                             moonlit breezes' gaze

 arching backs together under 

                          this glean'd glimmer

 taste of your earthy musk essence

                seduces & tempts the senses  

 scent of emerging morning's arisen

                            sunbeams persuasions 

 embraces that dwell languishing 

                      ~  entwin'd til infinitude

This was just every shade of lovely. When I read this I imagine the night lit up with nothing but stars and fireflies, new moon eclipsed so it doesn't take away from their luminescent brilliance. And then of course you dance among them to the symphony of their buzzing and the crickets' chirping tune. Thank you for sharing this Frieda, it was an awesome journey.

Where do they go when the sun shines? Are they stll there, only we just can't see them...?

FYI Marie....During the day, fireflies rest on twigs and under bushes. The light show they put on at dusk is their mating dance.
