Cobalt Rattlings Duo

Cobalt Rattlings Duo

A Poem by Frieda P
"

COLLABORATION ~ kublakhan & Frieda

"
Cobalt rattlings in gray matter
spun in Dali quintessence
ramblings encapsulated of time
palatalization of vapor'd history
Cobalt chord sequences infiltrate
the ears of the introspective poet
powerless to blind the senses
in conscientious retroaction
Connection to the self a live wire
Loose sparks spraying danger in a dare
Ambition shivering in cold sweat
crumbles in the subconscious
like a flustered ball of ink-soiled paper
Mockingbird taunts thought gravity
monopolizing the burble's sting
birds blossomed into x-poetry
in three dimensional inky hostility
Flying flesh singes on contact
with the unamused canvass of guide lines
and the aviary birthright is brainwashed
into a demotion of teardrop blobs
The ill-fated notion of an Operation Phoenix
strategy only drowns ideas in a lava shower
melting all the desperate hours
in a pot of calculated surreality
until the inspiration falls to evaporation
leaving the once-introspective poet
with sordid scraps of thematic ash
swooning to the end of time in rhyme
riddled in presumptuous analogy
 wringing withers amply fortified
caricatures dance on cue'd medleys
escaping furnished reality's bind
 insomniacs sense of superiority
stand in farce's quot'd alignment
benign metaphorical travesty's fix
winding down in a dish of foreplay
Hallelujah's moment in sunrise's praise

Holy crap, I had to read this a few times because when you two write together it is deep and my brain needs to like, think and think and think to completely understand it 100%... :-)

So my review is going to stink, not because I have anything bad to say-- but because I am genuinely confused. LOL No surprise there, I know-- but I had to Google at least 20 words. Haha-- But hey- I read it and tried to understand it. I'm assuming it's really, really good since the good stuff always goes over my head. I could have filled the review with fluff, but I wanted to be honest and let you know that I tried. :)

Sorry Frieda, sorry Steve.. I did read more than 20 times and all I realized was that I wasn't in Kansas anymore, more like on the planet Pluto (thanks Jack).. not that I didn't appreciate the collaborative artistry, I really did. But it was the x-poetry and Operation Phoenix that did me in.. and Red, believe me there were little people and they were green.. honest.. maybe it was just Frieda and Steve dressed up in green skin.. who knows... and by the way it's very possible they were smoking while writing this.. ;0) ~~redzone

Yeah...thats what we used to call it!! My eyes are red cause I'm TIRED...lol!
Wow this is a busy little offering...
This I'm sure was written for some future generation that will stumble across ghost images on some long buried server.
Excellent word choices..another spin cycle weave.

Scott.....
Holy Crape...I take a little vacation and the universe collides with brilliance, raging flames, torrid heat and emotive eruptions leaving in its wake one of the most amazing collaborations I have ever seen. I am considering filing a UFO report...Ultimate Fantastic Offering. Frieda and Steve...I am blown away...I mean all the way out to Pluto...which to me is still a planet. But as it stands right now the best planet is Earth because it is home to you two amazing poets...two of my favorites...2 X amazing...2 X out of this world.

I have a huge smile on my face after reading this through Mrs.R...it did come together shockingly fast didn't it? At least shocking by my standards ;P This continues to grow on me with successive readings...we may actually confuse some people trying to figure out who wrote what haha It was a blast my dear friend, and a pleasure :) xo

First off, let me say, great collaboration. Then, let me be confused about this apostrophe thing. I would think, if you are going to use one in a word that doesn't normally take one, shouldn't in be in place of the e? as in, ok, I get vapor'd but not riddle'd - shouldn't it be riddl'd? and cue'd and quote'd confuse me for that same stated reason ... other than that, are the little indents at the end intentional? I wasn't sure as to their purpose.

Seriously, should insomniac's have an apostrophe you think? I guess it's possessive.
Lyn Anderson

yes it is possessive in this case, so I would say it should.:)
I think I read that in one breath! Very Daliesque in it's imagery and the manic mood you both have created. I especially liked your avian imagery. The entire piece is a total surreal roller coaster ride.

So you two do realize I will need to read this twenty times to get the full effect and meaning. Right now I'm too stunned to speak....I feel like I was sucked up into a tornado, whirled like crazy and thrown into Oz. Except theres no little people here....just lots of hissing snakes, confusing signs and birds trilling "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". No I havent been smoking anything either...haha!! Wow....you two rock!! Ha!!;-)xo
