Lapis Lazuli Enchantment

Lapis Lazuli Enchantment

A Poem by Frieda P

 Entranc'd in your quiver
    my heart takes a leap
       dancing a'loft captivating
     stratospheres of blitzing stardust,
          radiating in tinsel'd azure hues
       wafting in violaceous diamonds
           of crystalline lapis lazuli shimmer
         streaming a delicate aria
             in its tempo's hypnotic glint
   cello's hum & shiver a whimsical melody
                 commanding a prolific message,
          strumming across my heart stings
    striking old familiar love chords
                     striking harmonious notes
      beating in my aching chest
                  a bumble of dragonflies
              prancing overhead in
                     perfect symmetry
charm'd intentions etch'd
makes my soul tremble and sigh,
script'd in a deep ginger'd esprit
                    within cobalt's luminous skies

A picture is worth a thousand words they say, but it is as if the pictures you paint upon the mind of the reader are infinitely more indescribable, yet we're left with lasting impressions of a dizzying design upon our minds. Fine work my friend and so characteristically Frieda.

Now that you bring it up, I remember you telling me that a while back...
it's like you used all the lovely words of the english language and blended them together to create sublime imagery and deep emotion. also illustrates the experience of synesthesia. excellent job, frieda.

Ha, you're never happy are you? ;-P
The best description of the rhythm of this poem would be 'it glides'. I'm not too sure how, but it's like I read it from beginning to end without taking a breath (I obviously did breathe but your poem was too entrancing for me to notice). Your delicate detail for things is something I would love to be able to incorporate into my style of poetry. 'tis an inspiring piece of art! :)
