braille to the touch...

braille to the touch...

A Poem by Frieda P
"

Love is blind

"
You wrote in Braille upon my heart
  tattoo'd  black etchings darkly lit
echoes of what was once impressionist art
vanquish'd with a glance of thy sword
words not decipherable in the name of love
inscribed delectation's sans an endorse'd mark
vintage designs deleted of scroll'd scriptures expression
signature'd confessions bestowed within crimson's pen
hush'd in unsettling breathless interpretations,
blindly I followed til you resonate'd in barely touch

Tremendous loss and art in these words.

I've read this piece multiple times now and I just don't know what to say...it is a sad poem for me, a bittersweet lament for what could have been...majestic, colourful art reduced to clinical braille. I think I've ran out of superlatives to explain what your poetry does to me Mrs.R...this is the most trouble I've had trying to relay my emotions in a while. Perhaps that is a compliment on its own ;) It is love, it is art...love is art, art is love...xoxo

Love is like glass... You may not see it at first. But change your perspective just a little and it will reflect light. But what if you cannot see anything still? Love must be felt, like fingertips touching the raised points of Braille. In such instances, love is a two-way affair. The reader must be willing to make the effort to read... And the Braille must be there, lest they feel nothing at all. Thank you for sharing this with us Frieda. Keep writing.

Hearts have keyboards too and blank screens. What we feel to touch on that keyboard it will register on the screen of our eyes...A soft and touching poem...:)...........................

Hahaha...You are too...lol
What appears to be love when viewed from one perspective may not be from another. Interpretation is always a factor....and we often interpret wrong. Love is not illusionary or barely there...it speaks loudly! xo
