Divided Asunder~A Poem by Frieda P♥ For my beloved sister Lee ♥Whilst you were vibrantly breathing, they'd make remarks, we looked so alike I was naturally delighted, since you were much younger than me You were still too silly a girl to realize...how fickle fate can be 'you' wanted to appear older, so it suited us both fine... I relish over these memories You're gone, I no longer see my reflection, as though part of me has been removed... I wonder if you realize what you've done, splitting us in two, sisters torn apart I'm still the one alive, so to speak taking up space, trying to breathe the air, although I know you'd want me to thrive... it's so hard without you here by my side Your butterfly spirit still dwells giving me strength more than time and space has come between us... I'd much rather people were comparing us still, that our laugh was identical and they couldn't tell us apart Still pick up the phone to hear your saved messages I overheard someone speak of you the other day 'which, the one 'still living' on Lindsley?' they had no clue that breath means nothing when you're divided asunder © 2014 Frieda PAuthor's NoteFeatured Review
