Purg'd Poetry

~For KL Goode

 

We purge the poetry to exhale malignity ,

   striving thoughts to avoid suffocation

banishing emotions twisted with finesse

   hard rock'd sentiments that take a dive

spinning a web of past intrusive delusions

   vehemently yielding in a pressurized vortex

  ripping out enslaved devastation's claws

intricacies unfold within expulsions removal

   brandishing swords in a cathartic release

          high on a little death in it's own write...

A purge you say? I think its more than a purge, perhaps thoughts and emotions buried deep wanting to escape, to feel, to know the other and help purge theirs to.

Sometimes we write because we have little secret loves swimming around our hearts and it's best to purge that kind of thing.
